There is the possibility of doing one year (the second year of the normal program), for students with two years of post-secondary education. This option is available in Human Resources or Finance and Accounting.

New Pedagogical Option: At the end of the first year of the program (at full time), it’s possible to follow a second year in alternation with a professional contract or a teaching contract.

DESCRIPTIONThe University Technology diploma in management and administration (DUT GEA) is preparation for several careers in business management and administration.

In the second year, students can choose between three options:

Finance and Accounting Option Master accounting, finance, and budget procedures and techniques.

Human Resources Accomplish tasks and take on the specific responsibility with administration of personnel.

Small and Medium Size Organizations Oversee the daily management of a private or public organization in itsvariety of domains (logistical and commercial, legal and fiscal, accounting and financial).

This program provides that the elements of knowledge, know-how and confidence through a synthesis of teaching and working for a total of 1620 hours, of which ¾ are organized by guided work and practical work. There are guided projects involving teamwork in addition to a practicum or internship in an organization for at least 10 weeks of the entire curriculum.

DESCRIPTIONThe DUT TCIAA trains students who aim to have commercial positions specializing in sales. The program aims at acquiring knowledge and skills to exercise professional functions, by integrating the elements that allow one to master the future evolutions of these functions. The program contributes to personal development, to the development of the sense of responsibilities, and the individual learning process as well as that of a team.

These skills are valued in labs as well (instrumentation and measurement), institutes or new and maintenance work services. Commercial technical jobs are rapidly developing.

The work of a Superior Technician GIM simultaneously concerns itself with equipment maintenance and the permanent improvement of industrial systems. This profession exercises in equal parts management functions (task planning, cost evaluation…) and facilitation (informing, advising and coordinating work teams).

DESCRIPTIONThe students of this degree must be capable of being part of the conception, actualization and putting into place informatics systems that correspond to users’ needs. DESCRIPTIONThe goal of the Technical Measurement department is to train highly qualified technicians with a vast array of skills based in the physical sciences.

The program is 4 semesters. It’s comprised of set courses, guided projects and an internship at the end of the studies. Every semester, courses are divided into academic units (UE) and assessment modules (M: Modules capitalisables) for which grades are assigned as means of evaluation of the results obtained by each student.

Organized education is delivered in the form of courses, directed work for theoretical learning complimenting practical learning which makes up about 40% of the hours.

Class participation, directed work and practical work are mandatory. Each semester students must complete a guided project with a human or technical dimension to complement traditional training with a different approach to Technical Measurements and its subsequent careers.

The objective of a professional contract is to promote theprofessional placement or re-placement. It permits asalaried worker newly hire with a temporary or permanentcontract to do a program in alternation, recognized by aprofessional qualification. Characteristics of the Apprenticeship ContractThe apprenticeship contract is a particular type of work contract with adetermined duration (CDD).Following article L6211-2 of the work code, “apprenticeship is the objectof a contract agreed upon by an apprentice and an employer.It is associated to training in one or more companies, based on theexercise of one or more professional activities in direct relation with theobjective qualification of the contract and … the teachings distributedduring the time of work in a training center for apprentices.”

The contract is initially agreed upon for the duration of the program (2years for a University Technology diploma and 1 year for a VocationalBachelor). It starts with a two-month trial period. If the apprentice doesnot graduate, the contract can be prolonged for 1 year.

Apprentice Work RequirementsThe apprentice has a salary separate from the company.With this position, the laws, regulations and collective conventions ofthe professional institution or of the company are the same as those ofother salaried workers.The employer is to let the apprentice take classes during work hours.

Aid for EmployersEmployers benefit from a variety of financial advantages: exemptionfrom social fees, compensation and a tax credit.

Note: apprentices, even if they are salaried by the company, are notcounted as part of the company for the application of services referringto a minimum condition of employees.

Apprentice CompensationWhen an apprentice agrees on a new contract with an employer, their compensation is at least equal to that of the last year of the preceding contract.

For an apprentice in a Vocational Bachelor, the compensation is at least equal to the contract in the second year.

Courses for the Vocational Bachelor in International Trade are given at the same time in French and English so as to allow foreign students to integrate into the program.

For foreign students, 60 ECTS credits can be approved within the framework of the CAI degree/ international class (course in English); among the following classes:

Students in the CAI program have a choice between two types of study abroad programs.

• Students can benefit from complementary services (personal guidance, distance courses) and enroll in the European International Management degree program or the International Diploma in Communication and Commerce in addition to the CAI degree program. The path chosen develops through one complete year abroad (classes and internship). The course load is calculated into European Credits ECTS, allowing for the academic recognition of courses given in partner universities.
