PREFACE
This material has been developed with the Learning Resource Management Development System – Cordillera Administrative Region – Schools Division Office of Apayao
(LRMDS-CAR-SDO Apayao) and has been implemented by the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) of the Department of Education, Cordillera Administrative Region, Schools Division Office
of Apayao, Northern Conner District.

Ang Panakot-ibon
Buwan ng Abril, hinog at maari nang anihin ang mga
palay sa bukid ni Santi. Isang araw, namasyal si Santi
sa kanyang bukirin. Nagulat siya sa dami ng ibon na
kumakain sa mga palay. Itinaboy ni Santi ang mga
ibon. Umupo si Santi sa lilim ng punongkahoy at naisip
niyang gumawa ng panakot-ibon upang hindi na
dadapo ang mga ibon sa kanyang palayan.
Maghapon na ginawa ni Santi ang panakot-ibon.
Kinabukasan, inilagay na ni Santi ang ginawa niyang
panakot-ibon sa bukid. Mula sa araw na iyon, hindi na
sumipot ang mga ibon na kumain sa mga palay sa
bukid ni Santi. Dahil dito, masagana ang ani ni Santi.
