From the principal’s desk:
Congratulations to those
students who participated in
our annual Swimming
Carnival on Wednesday 10
February. This event was held
for the first time at Blacktown
Aquatic Centre due to our
usual venue currently
undergoing reconstruction.
Students were transported to
and from BHHS via bus. Well
done to all competitors –
what a great day!
Placegetters have been
acknowledged at Monday’s
whole school assembly.
Please see later in this
newsletter for a full list of
place getters. Special thanks
to Mr Filewood, our Sports
Organiser, for organising a
smooth and efficiently
coordinated carnival, and to
the team of staff involved on
the day that ensured it ran
like clockwork.
This week is the annual BHHS
2020 Presentation Night, on
the evening of Thursday 18
February, to acknowledge
student achievements across
the school.

If you are attending, a final
reminder that you are required to

Masks remain compulsory on
public transport for staff and
students in Greater Sydney as per
NSW Government. All staff and
students over the age of 12 in the
Greater Sydney area must wear
masks when travelling to/from
school or when travelling for school
activities using public transport or
charter bus services. There have
been complaints raised by the
public about students not wearing
masks on public transport. I would
ask that parents and carers please
remind their students that they
must have and wear a mask for
these activities (unless the student
has a health exemption). More
information about wearing masks is
available on the NSW Government
website.

SRC Valentine’s Day
Last Friday, the SRC held the annual Valentine’s Day and provided the students of Baulkham
Hills High School with an opportunity to confess their feelings for not only their lovers but also
their closest friends. The SRC sold roses throughout the past week and delivered roses on the
Friday, in the form of anonymous or named orders. Throughout the day the SRC also held many
other events in an attempt to make Valentine's Day a day for everyone, not just for the
receivers of roses. Thus, the SRC members took part in face painting, photo booths around the
school, singing telegrams and also performed an entertaining skit for the first time in Baulkham
Hills High School history. We hope that everyone had a wonderful day. SRC 2021

Important Reminders
Student Drop off/Pick up. A reminder to follow all parking and traffic rules when dropping off or picking up
your student from BHHS. Please allow your student to walk a few minutes from the gate to meet your vehicle
at the end of the day – this helps to ease traffic congestion and improves safety in the afternoons. Students
using the bus bay – remember to walk at all times in that area.
Reminder - Signing in to BHHS when visiting via COVID Safe Check-in Tool
Visitors must continue to sign in at the school administration office using
o the visitor PASSTAB system
o the external visitor acknowledgement form
o Service NSW COVID Safe Check-In QR code.
Following these protocols is important for a variety of school compliance responsibilities (most notably,
emergency procedures).
Please also note that after-hours users (for example cadets, band and community users) of school facilities
should have their own QR codes. Schools and the department are not responsible for external users’ compliance
with Public Health Orders.
