ISP Remote Fund The Internship Support Program (ISP) Remote Fund was instituted by the Career
Services Office (CSO). The ISP Remote Fund is a pilot initiative developed specifically to assist students in
gaining professional experience despite restrictions on mobility related to the global Covid-19 pandemic.
The ISP Remote Fund is a competitive internship fund.
GOALS: - support students engaging in substantive, professionallyrelevant remote internships and thus gain relevant real-life skills, knowledge andexperience
- this grant award is intended as a contribution in connection with unpaidor low paid* remote internships*An internship is considered low-paid if the monthly payment to be received by the intern does not exceed one third of the potentialmonthly amount of the grant.

Grant Level 1 40 hours 520 EUR
Grant Level 2 30 hours 390 EUR
Grant Level 3 20 hours 260 EUR
Grants will be calculated according to intern's level of engagement with internship the host organization.
Award amounts are calculated at a monthly rate, where one month is equivalent to 30 days.In case of incomplete months, the number of days is multiplied by 1/30.
Grants will be disbursed in two installments: 60% at the start of the internship and 40% at the end of the internship (after submission of all required documentation).

It is fundamental that you communicate clearly with your internship host organization about the details.

Demonstrating that it’s a robust internshipThe student andthe internship host must demonstrate in this document the following:
There is a clear internship plan and clear internship deliverables to be completed by the student during the period of the internship.
The intern will receive training and all required information / resources / data required to complete the deliverables outlined in the internship plan can be accessed by the student;
There is a plan for remote supervision of the student, including regular meetings and check-ins;
Efforts will be made to include the intern in the greater professional life of the organization through for example attendance at team meetings and/or one-on-one meetings with staff members or through other channels that are clearly specified;
The time required to produce internshipdeliverables,participate in training, attendregularmentorship/supervisionmeetingsand take part in other meetings oractivities geared towards inclusion in the workplace is accounted for in the overall plan for the internship.

ISP Remote Fund Eligibility Criteria
Be enrolled in a master's or doctoral degree program at CEU at the time of application.
Have secured a single remote internship by the time you apply to the fund.(This is also necessary in order to be able to fill out the application forms.)
Application deadlines: May 15 OR June 15, 2020
The internship must be 20/30/40 hours and unpaid or low-paid and last from 1 up to 3 months during or after your studies.
Be making satisfactory progress towards your degree as detailed in CEU’s Student Rights, Rules, and Academic Regulations.
Beyond these formal requirements for eligibility, please read carefully the internship criteria and use it as a guide and a check-listto assess the quality and robustness of your planned internship.
• students may receive funding only for the portion of an internship taking place in the relevant period and for no more than 3 months.• portions of internships taking place while an award recipient is an enrolled student during term time must be part time (20 hours per
week). Please note: fall term 2020 starts on September 21, 2020
Internships are not eligible if they involve:a) independent research that is not clearly part of an actual internship
(the purpose of this fund is not to support master’s or doctoral thesis completion)b) language study programsc) on-site internshipsd) internships which involve mobility/travele) internships with CEU units

Documents to be submitted
Application Statement signed by the student and the student’s CEU department
A signed Internship Agreement providing details regarding the internship and signed by the student, the responsible person at the organization and by CEU.
A motivation letter covering the following:1. Reasons for choosing the specific internship host organization
2. Description of planned primary responsibilities during the internship3. Brief reflection on how you plan to deal with the remote aspect of this internship,
including any challenges you anticipate and strategies you would employ to deal with them4. Narrative on how the internship aligns with your career plans
One recommendation letter from a faculty member sent directly to the Internship Program Coordinator (ISP).It does not have to be uploaded to the online application platform. It should specifically address the remote aspect of the internship (see call).
An unofficial copy of Transcript of Records from CEU.
An up-to-date CV.

Evaluation Criteria
Emphasis will be put on the following: Relevance of the chosen internship to the student’s studies and career goals. Demonstration of professional and academic potential and achievement. Applicants and internship hosts demonstrate that the internship can be carried out
effectively remotely. Applicants and internship hosts demonstrate that there are clear deliverables and
responsibilities which correspond to the proposed weekly hours. Applicants and internship hosts demonstrate how the quality and progress of the intern will
be monitored/ensured jointly with the host organization.
The applications will be evaluated by the CEU Internship Selection Committee.

Award Recipient Obligations
Students are expected to complete the internship as described and within the timeframe indicated. Failure to do so may result in the grant being rescinded
Students and host organizations are required to fill out the mid-term evaluation form (this will be an online form that will be shared with students and the host organization directly).
Upon conclusion of the internship, the student is required to submit the necessary documentation within two weeks from the end of the internship.
