The Lehigh Valley IronPigs would like to say thank you for making your reservation for the 2011 Scout Sleepover. Inside this handbook is some valuable information regarding our scout sleepover events. Whether you are new to our scout sleepover events or a seasoned veteran we ask that you take some time to review the material. We also ask that you share this information with other people in your group who will be attending. This will assure that everyone in your group has the appropriate information, making the event more enjoyable for everyone. For any additional questions concerning the Boy or Girl Scout events please contact your group representative.

Game Dates, Times and Cost

Cost:

Field Level tickets $9.00* Field Level sleepover $16.00* Capital BlueCross Lawn Seating $6.00 Capital BlueCross Sleepover $13.00 . *Groups of 20 or more will receive $2 in ballpark credit on each ticket redeemable for food, drinks or merchandise within Coca-Cola Park. All game times are at 7:05 PM and include a pre-game parade that starts at 6:15 PM on-field, pre game parade and post-game fireworks.

Sleepover Rules

We ask that all scouts, scout leaders and participants observe the following rules. It will make the event more enjoyable and ensure the event for future years. DO:

• Treat the field with care • Stay in the outfield at all times • Carry all equipment on to the field • Use electric devices for lighting

DO NOT:

• NO plastic or tarps between tent and grass. • NO rain guard. Please don’t spray rain guard on tents. It will wash off and kill grass. • NO spikes for tents. • Go on infield at anytime • Use heating devices or campfires • NO wheeled carts, wagons, coolers. Please carry everything onto the field • NO bug spray can be applied on the field, please go off the field of play to apply any that

is needed • NO emptying of any type of liquids/beverages on the field • NO cigarette smoking in Coca-Cola Park. We will have some cigarette receptacles

outside the gate if they are needed. • Bring any pets of any kind, shape or size.

Rain Out Policies

If the game is cancelled, so is the sleepover. If the game is played, the sleepover would only be cancelled if the weather forecast calls for severe storms overnight or the grounds staff doesn’t feel the field can take further damage. If the sleepover is cancelled, please hold onto your game tickets and sleepover vouchers and your IronPigs group representative will contact you following the game for further details.

Rain Check Policy

In the event 5 innings of one game are not played, except when the home team is in the lead at the end of 4 1/2 innings, tickets may be exchanged for any 2011 regular season IronPigs home game of equal or lesser value, subject to availability. Positively no exchanges or cash refunds.

Frequently Asked Questions What essentials do we need to bring? Please prepare as if you are sleeping in the wild. You should plan to bring a tent, sleeping bag/ pillows, flash lights, proper clothes to sleep in and a light jacket or sweatshirt for chillier nights. Who receives sleepover patches? All participants in the sleepover portion of the Scout Nights will receive a commemorative patch. These can be picked up by the Scout leader during the sleepover portion of the night. Is the sleepover available to family members? Yes. The sleepovers are open to mothers, fathers, siblings and friends and they are encouraged to attend and spend the night at Coca-Cola Park. Will there be adequate supervision? Yes. Each group attending the sleepover should have the necessary supervision for their group. In addition, at least two IronPigs staff members will be available throughout the entire night. If needed, staff will be located at the Coordinate Health Fan Services Center throughout the event. What is the itinerary for the events? PARADE: Gates will open at 5:45 PM on all Scout Nights. Shortly after entering the ballpark please report to section 117 for the pre-game parade. Only scout leaders and scouts can participate in the parade. Beginning at 6:15 PM, we will line up the participants and proceed to the bullpen area of the ballpark. The parade will begin sharply at 6:25 PM and those arriving after 6:15 PM will not be eligible to participate. Troop or Pack banners are encouraged for the parade. SLEEPOVER: Once the stadium is cleared and the Grounds Crew has given the permission to enter the ballpark through the left field gate, all participants will enter the field and prepare their area for the night. Shortly after, the movie will start and following the movie, lights will be turned off. BREAKFAST: The following morning all campers will clean up their sites. Wake up call will be at 7:00 AM. Camping gear needs to be removed from the field by 7:30 AM and before proceeding to breakfast. Breakfast will be served from 7:00 AM until 8:30 AM. All scouts should be ready to leave Coca-Cola Park no later than 8:30 AM. MORNING CLEANUP: All scouts and participants are REQUIRED to assist in field clean up Saturday morning. We ask that all participants please clean their camping area the following morning and leave NO debris behind on the field. This will ensure the event for years to come. How do I get my patches? Patches will be available for the Scout leader to pick up during the sleepover portion of the event. Patch pick up will be next to the tarp and the field entrance of section 119. Where do scouts store their camping gear? Scouts will need to keep their gear in their chaperone/scout leader’s vehicle during the game. After the game, all participants can go to their car for their camping gear.

How/ When/ Where should we transport our camping gear onto the field? How? We must ask that you NOT bring wagons or coolers with wheels onto the field. All camping gear transported should be done by CARRYING items onto the field. When? Approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the game/fireworks is when you should bring your gear onto the field. You will not be allowed onto the field until it is safe. Where? The gate in the left field bullpen area will be the ONLY entry point onto the field when bringing in your equipment and tents. Please adhere to the diagram when placing and setting up all tents (See Appendix B). IronPigs staff members will direct you where you should place your tent. Space will be filled beginning in right field and moving into center field and left field once those areas are filled. If you desire to be with a group of people we recommend getting in line together and be as close to the front of the line as possible to provide you the most options. What do we need to get into the sleepover? There is a green sleepover voucher that should be turned in to gain entrance into the sleepover. These will be included in the sleepover packet mailed to the person who placed the order. This voucher will be checked and ripped when you enter the sleepover. Only those with sleepover vouchers will be able to sleepover. Do we need anything to be allowed to eat our breakfast in the morning? No. All participants for the sleepover portion will be allowed in the PPL Picnic Patio for the continental breakfast in the morning. Where is breakfast served? Breakfast is served in the PPL Picnic Patio. Will there be concession stands open during the sleepover? Yes. The Lunch Pail on the third base side of the ballpark will be open until the start of the movie and will have a limited menu for the sleepover. Remember, no outside food or beverage is permitted inside Coca-Cola Park. Will there be restrooms open during the sleepover? Yes. Restrooms are located behind sections 116 and 117 and will remain open for the entire event. If we need to leave in the middle of the night can we? Yes. If you need to leave in the middle of the night, please exit the gate in which you entered. While this gate will be closed and unlocked, you are permitted to leave. If you do open the gate, please shut it behind you. How do I get to Coca-Cola Park? See directions on Page 6.

Take I-476 N to Exit 56 Lehigh Valley. Take U.S. 22 E to Exit for Airport Road South. Keep Right on the exit ramp and merge onto Airport Road heading south. Make a Right on American Parkway (at intersection with light). Make a Left into Coca-Cola Park complex.

FROM NEW YORK CITY AND POINTS NORTH

Take US-19 S/US-1 & 9 S. Take I-78 W. Merge onto PA-33 N via Exit 71 toward US-22 Stroudsburg. Take U.S. 22 W to Exit for Airport Road South. Merge Right off exit ramp onto Airport Road South. Make a Right on American Parkway (at intersection with light). Make a Left into Coca-Cola Park complex.

FROM READING AND POINTS WEST

Take US-222 N toward Allentown. Take PA-100 ramp toward Fogelsville/Trexletown. Turn Left onto PA-100 N. Merge onto I-78 E / US-22 E toward Allentown. Keep Right to take US-22 E Exit 51. Take U.S. 22 E to Exit for Airport Road South. Keep Right on the exit ramp and merge onto Airport Road heading south. Make a Right on American Parkway (at intersection with light). Make a Left into Coca-Cola Park complex.

FROM PHILLIPSBURG AND POINTS EAST

Take US-22 W (Portions toll) (Crossing into Pennsylvania) to Exit for Airport Road South. Merge Right off exit ramp onto Airport Road South. Make a Right on American Parkway (at intersection with light). Make a Left into Coca-Cola Park complex.

Appendix A

Parking Map of Coca-Cola Park

When arriving at Coca-Cola Park please attempt to park in the Coke Zero lot since this will be the closest parking space to the overnight area. This area will fill quickly so if the lot is full please park in any of our parking lots. Following the game, fans participating in the overnight portion can move their cars and park behind the scoreboard and the left field area of the ballpark.
