PFS Overview• Funded through Substance Abuse and

Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA)• Iowa was funded in the 4th round with 21

grantees• Focus on underage drinking/prescription

drug abuse• Focus on high capacity sub-recipients

IPFS Overview• IDPH received funding September 29, 2014• Five years - $1,626,000 per year• 15% for state activities, 85% of sub-

recipients, funding for SEW• IPFS Priorities• Reduce underage drinking (ages 12-20)• Reduce youth binge drinking (ages 12-20)
