alongside these majestic creatures in exotic locations. No one has shot in this way before or since. One goal of the project is to give people an amazing and educational experience, but the main purpose is to get people to fall in love with the ocean in a new way. People read about what is happening to our oceans and the challenges conservationists face, but experiencing it for themselves is the most powerful tool. Muller has learned that we only protect what we love. By sharing this beautiful underwater environment, using the most visceral medium possible, Mr. Muller hopes people will be inspired to join him in efforts to safeguard its survival for generations to come. CREATOR’S STATEMENT “Into the Now,” a stereoscopic VR documentary focused on marine life and ocean conservation aims to give people an amazing and educational experience. But Michael Muller’s main purpose is to get people to fall in love with the ocean in a new way, to experience it for themselves.

By sharing this beautiful underwater environment, using the most immersive medium possible, Muller hopes to change people’s perspectives and will inspire them to join him in efforts to safeguard the oceans’ survival for generations to come.

ABOUT MICHAEL MULLER Michael Muller established himself as a top celebrity photographer, and later transitioned into directing TV commercials.

His passion is photographing marine life and in 2016, Taschen published Michael’s first book entitled Sharks, capturing sharks on film using the most powerful strobe in the world, one that Muller himself holds the patents on. This imagery evokes awe, emphasizing the necessity for protecting the oceans, with GQ Magazine raving Muller succeeds in portraying sharks “in all their sleek, gnashy, surreally beautiful glory.”

“Into the Now” is Michael’s first film shot in VR.
