Personal Identification: I am Islam alzaini, from Bahrain, I am a journalist and producer with 6 year of experience. I have worked in al jazeera news channel for two years and currently I am working at Bahrain channel.my work: after the Egyptian revolution, I have contributed with some journalists and Activists to create a social media network specialized in monitoring ,evaluating and detecting human rights violations and corruption in the Arab region. our network now have more than quarter million follower and we have successfully raised a lot of cases which has received local and global media attention.why I am interested in Internet Governance: internet is a part of my work and play important role in a lot of fields like education, health and culture. All of the Revolutionary movements in the Arab region have been started on social sites. I think by developing the internet and supporting the users we can change our countries to be better, not only political change, but a change in education, culture and awareness.why I participate: I would to know the basic steps to developing the internet in Arab region and the ways which can lead to achieving the desired change. I would to learn how to support users so they can get there rights to know and they can freely use the internet without restrictions and without blocked sites.my basic knowledge about internet governance: Internet governance is the development of principles, rules and programs by governments, private sectors and societies.Opinion: we live in a region facing political, economical and cultural Crises due to the lack of education and awareness. after the internet become a basic issue in our life, we see that Arabs become more interesting in internet and they want to participate in internet development.
