InSeptemberandOctoberweusuallyexperienceamixofsunshineandlightrain.Duringthewintermonths,fromlateNovembertoFebruary,weexperiencesharpwindsandfrostynights,withsomesnow.Althoughthespringmonthsarebrighter,theycanstillbequitechillywithprolongedrain.InlateApril,MayandJune,itbeginstowarmupwithtemperaturesbetween12and18degrees.OursummermonthsareJulyandAugustwherewecanexperiencehighsofupto30degrees,butequallycanstillgetplentyof...yes,youguessedit...rain!

MY LIFE AT THE KING’S HOSPITAL SCHOOL

Ihavealwaysthoughtaboutwhetheritispossibletoleaveyourcountryandliveinanotheronealone.Well,IamprivilegedthatthishasbeenmadepossiblebecauseofTheKing’sHospitalschoolinDublin.Thefirstweekswerekey,Imetnewpeoplefromdifferentcountriesandalotofthemwereinmysituationsothathelpedmealot,IfeltrelievedknowingthatIwasn’ttheonlyone.Anyway,Iintegratedintotheschoolinnotimeatall.

Isignedupforactivitieslikedrama,guitarandrugby.TheywereallnewformeandIwasafraid.ButnowI’mreallygladtohavechosenthem.Idevelopedandlearnednewskills.ItisincredibletoseehowyouimproveyourEnglishinaveryshorttime.

Thefacilitiesthattheschooloffersarewonderful.Youhaveabiglibrarytostudy,agym,alotoffootball,rugbyandhockeypitches,aswimmingpool,twocomputerrooms.

Apartfromthat,theschoolorganisesactivitiesandtripsontheweekendforthe7dayboarders,theyensurethatyourlifeisnotboringatall.Inaddition,therearealotofmusicgroupsformedbystudentsandyoucanpracticeanyinstrumentyouwouldlike.Also,youhaveashoppingcentrejustontheothersideofthebridge,soyoudon’thavetoworryaboutthingsyou’remissing.Therearealotofrestaurantsandshopsforeverythingyouneed.

Allthestaffaregreat.Theyarereallykind-thesamewayasthestudents.ImadefriendsandnowIcan’tthinkhowwouldIbewithoutthem.Imetafamilyinhere.

MyexperienceinTheKing’sHospitalSchoolhasbeenlovely.I’mnevergoingtoforgetallthemomentslivedhere.IthasbeenreallyintensebutImustsaythattimeflies,soitisveryimportanttomakethemostofit.Ayearoutsideyourcountrygivesyoualotofconfidenceanditmakesyougrowupasaperson.
