Dr Ivor S. Smith ‘A Unified Concept ‘
Alteration of Sol’/ Gel state of the cytoplasm
• two states of cytoplasm:
‘Sol’ – liquid state of cytoplasm (when Ca2+ is back to depot) energy demanding
‘Gel’ – more solid state of cytoplasm when Ca2+ and proteins are bound with water
Charged ions alter the state of cytoplasm and help conducting impulses via nerves
Communication between neurotransmitters in the synaptic gap can only be happening at Sol state
De-synchronisation or excessive Ca2+ release can disable normal cellular communication, causing numerous pathological states

Neurostimulation with InterX
An introduction to pain pathways and mechanisms. Dr Danielle Reddi London, Dr Natasha Curran UCLH, Dr, Robert Stephens, UCLH
• The InterX™ is a neurostimulator
• Stimulation is only limited and
targeted to the skin
• Cutaneous receptors are primary
Aδ, Aβ. C are mainly internal organs
• Aδ - pain and itch & temperature
• Aβ - touch, pressure, vibration

Neurostimulation
• Cutaneous receptors process pain signals
(nociceptors C and Aδ fibres) and A sufficiently
high intensity of stimulation can affect – Aδ, Aβ
• Treating at higher intensities has been shown to
cause greater inhibition and therefore pain relief
• Inhibition of ascending pain messages

replace drugs for inflammatory and autoimmune conditions” Scientific American, March

sensory transduction to CNS - Spinal
cord/Thalamus/Hypothalamus/Somatosensoric
cortex
• Local zones: Segmental inhibition• Neurostimulation activates spinal neurons
to of release of endorphins (Encephalin, Dynorphin to inhibit pain messages
• Activation of spinal cord neurons, spino-thanlamic/ spino-reticular pathways aids natural descending inhibition of pain by release of β-endorphins, activation of HPA-axis to release ACTH to activate adrenal and immune responses, leading to reduction of inflammation
• General zones: Midbrain activates Peri Aqueductal Grey (PAG) & Rostral Ventromedial Medulla (RVM) with high concentrations of opioids, and project to dorsal horn to inhibit pain transmission. These pathways use noradrenaline and serotonin

Case study using EEG- Neurofeedback Pre, During
and Post InterX Therapy (pre-publication)
Dr Lesley Parkinson
• Male age 66 years, January 2009 partial left nephrectomy, radical right nephrectomy. No other medical history of note. Developed weakness, atrophy and discomfort in gluteal muscles and left thigh, reduced ease of walking, stiffness. Poor stability. Previously highly athletic.
• Physiotherapy, osteotherapy, sports massage, all to no significant effect
• Six InterX therapy sessions in total, 4 sessions on weekly basis at the clinic, followed by a home treatment using the Personal InterX every other day from session 5, to session 6 (2 weeks), with the final assessment
• A significant improvement in stability, muscular tone and no discomfort or stiffness
Understanding EEG wavebands:
• The DELTA waveband has two key relevant measures for this study, it is an indicator of arousal level in the brain and the higher the amplitude value the more HYPO aroused the brain. It is the main sleep wave. However, it can also act as a carrier wave so that when the brain/CNS is healing delta will rise to facilitate the healthier levels of the medium range brainwaves and it also acts as a ‘brake’ on the HI BETA stress wave.
• Hyperarousal of the nervous system is really another name for the stress response also known as “fight or flight.”
• The ALFA waveband is associated with optimum CNS control and the Americans sometimes refer to this waveband as the ‘conductor of the CNS symphony’. The alpha wave is the only waveband that is also measured below the brainstem in the spinal column.
• The LO BETA brainwave is associated with optimal health functioning.
• The HI BETA waveband is generally seen as an index of stress in the CNS.
• The GAMMA waveband is sometimes referred to as a binding rhythm and is an index as to how hard the brain is having to work to achieve control.

Meridians are bio-energy pathways
• Meridians are part of ‘living matrix’, which is an extra-cellular network that extends further into each cell (cytoskeleton) (Oschman
1993;2000;2003)
• Physical properties of meridian system are crystalline, piezoelectric semi-conductive
• Acupuncture system is an extremely high speed communication network, with signal velocities hundreds of times faster than nervous conduction (Jones 2004)
• Together with living matrix and polarised water crystals the meridians act like a superconducting medium to convey any type of energy: Electrical, Electromagnetic – light, Sound energy
• Meridians are integral to the neural system in the body, facilitating energy delivery in the body (Dr Shui Yin Lo 2004)

Testimonials• On Monday 10th Feb. '14 I was in agony... The treatment helped
enormously… I crawled up her stairs to her treatment room on my hands and knees...an hour later I was able to walk back down them...
• I have had two major Stenosis operations in my life on the lower back from L1 to L5 with a partial cutting back of S1. I suffered severe back pain every day. I simply couldn't get out of bed in the morning without heavy pain killing medication, I'm talking about Oramorph and up to 8 Co-Dydramol a day! This was before I started InterX treatment.
• Now I take virtually no pain killers... Under Zulia's recommendations and guidance I have found InterX to be a bit of a "cure all" apart from my back treatment I have found pain relief with InterX from stiff necks, bumps and bruises, knee pain, and even insect bites.. It is a remarkable invention. I couldn't be without mine.
• Signed Tim Harrison...A very happy customer.

Testimonials
• I had chronic Achilles tendinopathy for a number of years. I tried NHS and private treatments including physiotherapy, exercises, podiatry, orthotics, saline injections, shockwave therapy [very painful], osteopathy and a surgical boot. None of it worked and the condition was not only sore but was also limiting my lifestyle.
• My osteopath suggested I make an appointment with Zulia to try IntereX therapy which I did. Due to the severity of the condition it took a little longer than expected to repair but Zulia assured me categorically that it would recover and to my delight my tendon healed completely within a few months
and I can now walk normally.
• Diane G. severe chronic tendinopathy sufferer
Testimonials
• I used the personal InterX device under a guidance from Dr Zulia Frost. First off I have to say what an improvement there has been in the back pain from the condition! I think the nerves learn pain signals and forget to stop when the pain stops as this has settled right down now when it used to be a constant pain, literally every day.
• I also used it for my shoulder injuries and there has been a significant improvement in those again, so much that I have been able to exercise again and build up my strength in them which I have not been able to do for years because of the pain in those. I go Air Gunning and could not cock a springer air gun and have just bought my first springer air rifle so although not directly linked to the pancreatitis a real bonus in life!
• The back ache has been the best relief of all as this used to be constant and can even rive now without being in constant pain after just driving a few miles to my local park with my dog. Even managing to walk him short distances now as well.
• Jim A., chronic pancreatitis sufferer

Testimonials• I have only had one episode of 'nerve pain' since I last saw you, and that
was due to having worn wellies when I walked the dogs. The damage to my MTP joints has not repaired and the ganglion is still present. I have to wear flat, well-cushioned footwear but I am able to drive a manual vehicle for a short distance. So, of the objectives I stated when I started my treatment with you, I think the only thing I haven't achieved is to be able to wear high heels. I can live with that restriction!
• The Interx is the best pain relief I know and I will be eternally grateful that I have it. My husband has had problems with kidney stones a couple of times and has found the Interx very helpful in dealing with the pain. And I lent the device to my brother-in-law when he injured his back a few months ago - he was very impressed with the speed with which he recovered.
• Thank you again for all you did for me - I am certain that I would not have recovered my mobility to this extent without your treatment.
• P. R. CPRS sufferer
InterX Changed My Life!
• Prior to my InterX treatments I had long term, chronic back pain. The pain was constant and life was a series of challenges as I struggled with sitting (or standing) for any length of time. My life was planned around my pain. This had been a continuous problem in my life for around 15 years. Having been through the usual channels in Scotland – injections, drugs, physiotherapy I then saw a chiropractor and various ‘alternative’ therapists. Some of which gave me temporary relief but no long term improvement.
• Then, following a move to England – the same again, culminating in a consultation with a Chronic Pain Management Consultant. Diagnosis? Wear & tear! The outcome? Painkillers and nerve pain inhibitors – along with the other drugs required to counteract side-effects. So I thought this was my future, and now aged 48 I could only see a (hopefully) long road ahead, taking all these pills with a painful problem which would surely only get worse.
• Then I found Dr Zulia Frost and InterX. I was drug free after my second treatment. I am now pain free and able to walk, sit and stand without careful forward planning! I recently danced all night at a wedding, something which would have been impossible six months ago. Truly amazing...
