The transit lane project increases Orange County’s ability to move our tourists and residents to entertainment locations and employment centers between Destination Parkway and Sand Lake Road. The proposed improvements include the addition of a lane, in each direction, for mass transit such as busses and trolleys and it will also serve as a right turn lane. The transit corridor begins at Destination Parkway and is proposed to run north along International Drive and crosses over to Universal Boulevard at Via Mercado. The corridor then runs north along Universal Boulevard to Sand Lake Road. PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING To provide you with information on our recommendation of the proposed transportation improvements, we invite you to attend the Preferred Alternatives Meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 13 th , 2012 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Downtown Orange County, 6014 Destination Parkway Orlando, FL 32819. The meeting will consist of an “open house” setting during which graphics will be available for viewing and will also include a formal presentation. Members from the Project Team will be available to answer questions and receive input on the elements of the project. This is the last public meeting for the preliminary engineering phase.
