WELCOME INFOThe corrosion world is looking forward to an exciting event. For the fi rst time in history, EUROCORR, Europe’s most renowned corrosion conference, and the global triennial International Corrosion Congress (ICC), will be merged, making thus the largest global corrosion scientifi c event ever organised in Europe. On behalf of the Local Organising Committee of the Joint European Corrosion Congress EUROCORR 2017 and 20th International Corrosion Congress I would like to invite your organisation to be an active partner in this congress as an exhibitor or a sponsor. Your sponsorship would help us strengthen the fi nancial foundation for the Congress to subsidize the overall cost and keep the registration fee affordable for all attendees. Besides the scientifi c program, activities will include unique excursions, social, and cultural events to create an unforgettable scientifi c and cultural experience.

The Congress will take place in Prague Congress Centre, Czech Republic, from September 3–7, 2017.

The Congress will focus on all aspects of corrosion engineering, corrosion protection and science. The joint European workshop on Process Safety will cover other issues related to failures in industry, not only related to corrosion. The event aims to contribute to solve the burning problems of both areas – corrosion engineering and process safety – and fulfi ll the main Congress theme: Corrosion Control for Safer Living.

The Congress will be a unique networking opportunity for all sponsors and exhibitors, with personal access to leading scientists, representatives of research institutions, universities and industry, and graduate students in a vibrant professional setting and atmosphere. The scientifi c program will consist of many plenary lectures, keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations and concurrent sessions on a variety of topics, offering corrosion scientists from all over the world the opportunity to meet and present their research.
