DESCRIPTION
In this workshop we want to set up a interaction vocabulary, we define a vocabulary as a set of symbols used to describe gestures. This vocabulary is supposed to form the basis for describing and designing interactive artifacts for an exhibition or other spatial design contexts.

Workshop «Interaction Vocabulary»
In this workshop we want to set up a interaction vocabulary, we define a vocabulary as a set of symbols used to describe gestures.
This vocabulary is supposed to form the basis for describing and designing interactive artifacts for an exhibition or other spatial design contexts.

Setup:– Form 2 Groups and pull together some tables as a workspace– Use only paper, pens and a camera– 10.30 – 13.00 & 14.00 – 15.30
Elements to use:Human-side:– 2 hands (Fingertips, Fingers, Palm)Artifact-side– 2D Surface (Screen, Button, etc.)– 3D Object (Interact with an object in space)– 4D Space (Gesture in space over a period of time)
Categories:– Photo (a still of what happens)– Pictogram– Description (What is it)– Artifact (Which type of Artifact)– Function (What does it do)– Type (Is it digital or analog)
Goal:Create a vocabulary of human gestures to interact with interactive artifacts. Drawn on paper and then translated into a digital file.
Why do I need this?1. Support to find possible solutions (Example 1)2. To describe / explain my design (Examples 2 & 3)
