Convenience and energy efficiencyWhen they arrive at their hotel room, guests open

the door effortlessly with the RFID card. When

they insert the card into the backlit card slot, they

are welcomed by a pleasant welcome scene.

Guests can use push-buttons or touch panels to

adjust the light and temperature to their require-

ments. LEDs on the card reader on the outside

of the door indicate to hotel personnel if guests

do not want to be disturbed or if the room can be

made up. When they remove the card from the

slot when leaving the room, the room is reset to

energy saving mode: the lights go off automati-

cally, the temperature is lowered and all power

circuits that are not required are disconnected.

Always a good atmosphereHolidays are not always the reason why people

stay in a hotel. The guests' comfort is always the

number one priority, however. Visitors to confer-

ences do not require an additional key card to

The combination of the KNX access system

and other KNX components ensures a pleasant

working environment. Presence detectors control

the light and blinds, while a CO2 sensor ensures

prompt ventilation. This results in a comfortable,

as guests check in at the reception – uncomplica-

With the KNX Access Control system, coding the

key card is extremely fast. Thanks to the software-

based system, all content is carried out in real

time and all individual access authorisations are

active immediately. Different profiles and access

priviledges can be defined for guests, cleaning or

maintenance personnel.

Operation and integration into the hotel configuration

are both just as convenient. The card programming

device is simply connected to the reception work -

station via USB. The pre-installed software is com-

patible with all leading ERP systems.

Relax in peaceAfter an exhausting day of meetings, relaxing in

the spa is the perfect way for guests to unwind.

Once again, they do not need an additional card

or to go to the reception. One call is all it takes to

arrange access.

The software immediately shows whether a guest

is in the spa area or has recently booked this

service. This enables maintenance and cleaning

of the area to be set for times when no guests

are around, ensuring that their relaxation is not

disturbed and that personnel can go about their

duties in peace too.
