    The quick start plan is to assist in taking a disciplined approach to a job search. By completing each week, you will be able to stay engaged with people who can help you, apply yourself to new prospective leads, and be encouraged by steady progress each week.

    Job Sync - 2015-01-30

    Write a few sentences that describe why you the best person to hire in the type of work you would like. For tips on how to write an elevator pitch see the Elevator Speech resource on the HCBC Job Sync ministry link.

    Write the names of two close friends/family members that you can talk to every day about how the job search is going. Then contact them every day!

    This is a group of 10 or more friends/acquaintances to keep apprised of your job search. You should email or talk to them when you start your job search. Then you will provide an update to them approximately every 2 weeks. Each one of these people knows 10 people who know 10 people. By staying in touch and making yourself accountable you increase the interest in your job search and thus the possibility of becoming employed.

    Apply to at least one job either online or in-person each week

    Speak with one recruiter or temp agency each week

    Commit to achieving one interview per week
