Our tours aim to enhance a student’s visit to the battle"elds. It is easy to provide itineraries that are run of the mill and the same as other companies but we like to go that bit further. We will use trench maps to understand the landscape, poetry, regimental and soldier’s diaries and letters to provide a thought provoking experience. All groups will be given the opportunity provide information about individuals for research, or why not take a few names off the local war memorial, or use the local regiment for research and bring the group a collective connection with the Great War?

An idyllically situated city with parks, promenades and wonderful views of Mont Blanc with the ever-present Jura ridges plus the beginnings of the Savoy Alps. This is what awaits a group in Geneva, an international city that has a prominent place in world events. The symbol of the city is the “Jet d’eau” – a fountain with a 140-metre-high water jet at the periphery of Lake Geneva.

The old town, the heart of Geneva with the shopping and business quarter, holds sway over the left-hand shore. However the actual centre of the old town is the Place du Bourg-de-Four, which is the oldest square in the city. Quays, lakeside promenades, countless parks, lively side streets in the old town and elegant shops invite guests to stroll. Geneva is the home to many world class museums including CERN and the Red Cross, together with international organisations, making it an interesting destination for a school trip or educational tour.
