Destinations within the Northville City and Township limits - $1 one-way fare

Destinations outside of Northville City or Township limits but within 4 mile radius

of the Northville Community Center (303 W. Main St.) - $2 one-way fare

Destinations within an 8 miles radius of 303 W Main St. - $3 one-way fare

Rides to Beaumont Hospital (Farmington Hills) - $4 one-way fare

Non-Medical Fares Destinations within Northville City and Township limits - $3 one-way fare

All medical rides have been reduced by $2 due to generous funding from St. Mary Mercy Livonia as part of

the SJMHS.

An en route quick stop may be added to any trip if time and route allows and the stop must be booked at time

of original stop request - $2 per stop.

Exact change is required, as our drivers do not carry change. Payment is due at time of service.

Transportation Service

Service is provided to Northville Township and the City of Northville residents age 60+ and residents who

have a documented disability (physician certified). Funding for the transportation service is provided by

SMART, Oakland and Wayne Counties, Northville Township and the City of Northville.

Fees for medical runs are reduced thanks to generous funding provided by St. Mary Mercy Livonia as

part of the SJMHS.

We Offer Curb-to-Curb Bus Service

The service provides bus transportation to medical

appointments and non-medical destinations.

Available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Transportation will be closed April 19

Fare Structure

Fare costs are determined by the type of destination and distance of service. Fares are charged as one way trips

and range from $1 to $4 each way. Please contact the transportation office to obtain a transportation packet

that describes the fare structure in more detail.

To schedule a ride or receive more information, call 248-449-9934, between 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.

Our Transportation Coordinator, Erin Dobson will be happy to assist you. Reservations for transportation

service must be made at least 2 business days in advance. Medical appointments receive priority scheduling.

Transportation punch cards can be purchased in $20, $30 or $40 increments to avoid paying cash for each

trip. Please ask for punch card details when calling for an appointment.

Trips

Day Trip Refund Policy - If Northville Senior Services needs to cancel a trip due to low registration, a refund will be issued. If you

need to cancel your reservation, please be aware that refunds will be issued minus a $15 surcharge if we are able to fill your spot

through our waitlist. Trips are nontransferable and if we are unable to fill your spot no refund will be awarded. Chartered Day

trips will follow the same refund policy as above. Chartered overnight trips will follow the charter companies policy as well as a

$15 surcharge for processing.

Departure information: All Day Trips are picked up and dropped off in the parking lot across from the Northville Post Office.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the posted time of departure.

The Grand Experience - Mackinaw Island Trip hosted by mParks (Michigan Parks & Rec) Northville Senior Services will be hosting a bus to The Grand Experience this coming fall. You will not want to miss this once in a lifetime trip designed for seniors. Spend 4 days & 3 nights at the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island with planned tournaments, games, and daily activities organized by mParks. See flyer for more details. Pickleball: Join this fast growing sport for all ages. Best described as a mix between tennis, badminton and ping pong.

Northville Parks & Recreation offers drop in times for all levels of play. Check the Open Activities schedule

for days and times of play. Fee: $3

Line Dancing: Line Dancing on Mondays will be 2 hours in length. 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. All levels are welcome as our instructor, Judean Owens directs you through a variety of dances with music from country, oldies, 2 step, waltzes and top 40’s. Fee: $5

Volleyball:

Both Senior Volleyball and Men’s 50+ Volleyball are offered at the Northville

Community Center. Check the Open Activities schedule for fees, days and times of

Walking: Come join us for a morning walk in the gym. Every weekday morning the gym is open for

senior walkers from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. Join the group afterwards for a cup of coffee! Walking is free,

Bean Bag Toss: Play this tailgate game indoors during the winter on Tuesday afternoons from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Bring your friends for an afternoon of friendly competition on the stage of the Community Center. Fee: $1

WERQ: Cardio Class WERQ is a dance fitness class based on pop, rock and hip hop music. The music is high energy and keeps you moving for a great cardio WERQout.

Yoga

Silver ZUMBA: A total body workout, combining cardio dance moves with Latin inspired music that improves your muscle tone, balance, flexibility and cardiovascular system. Zumba emphasizes moving to the music and having fun regardless of your fitness level.

Blend Yoga: This is an intermediate level class that pairs the flow of Vinyasa with the guided challenge of Slow Burn. Great for those newer to Yoga who want a challenge as well as those who have practiced for years.

Homebound residents can receive a meal delivered to

their home through the Meals on Wheels program.

Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, senior resi-

dents can receive a telephone call to check on their

To provide emotional support & coping skills to

families and caregivers relating to Alzheimer’s

disease. This group meets the 1st Tuesday of each
