DAY 2: AUGUST 15, 2018 MONTREUX Today take a Lake Geneva cruise from Montreux to Lausanne followed by Gruyeres and Swiss Countryside. Tour a cheese factory and a chocolate factory (Cailler in Broc) with free time in fortified town of Gruyeres with time for lunch and shopping. Enjoy a photo stop at Olympic Park. Tonight enjoy a fondue dinner at Restaurant Le Chalet Suisse, availability permitting.

DAY 3: AUGUST 16, 2018 MONTREUX TO ZERMATTYou visit Martigny’s Roman Amphitheater and take a tour of the Red Cross Rescue Dog Museum with audio guide. Continue onto Zermatt via train.

DAY 4: AUGUST 17, 2018 ZERMATTToday you have an excursion to feast your eyes on the distinctive triangular silhouette of the Matterhorn. Enjoy a tour of the old town. This evening is on your own.

DAY 5: AUGUST 18, 2018 ZERMATT TO BAVENO, LAKE DISTRICT Descend to Täsch and rejoin the coach. Follow in Napoleon’s footsteps as you ascend the Simplon Pass, taking in magnificent views over the Alps from the 2,000-metre summit. Continue along the gentle shores of Lake Maggiore. Take a delightful boat trip to see the stunning Isola Bella.

DAY 8: AUGUST 21, 2018 ST. MORITZ TO WENDEL. Start the day with a scenic train ride along part of the route of the Glacier Express, across the Grison Mountains and through unforgettable scenes of ice-capped mountains, stone-built villages and lush meadows. Disembark in Andermatt and continue onto Wendel.

DAY 9: AUGUST 22, 2018 WENGEN - GRINDELWALD Today take the Jungfrau tour by cog wheel. Visit the nearby waterfalls. This afternoon is at leisure.

DAY 10: AUGUST 23, 2018 WENGEN TO LUCERNE Continue to Lucerne alongside the dramatic Walensee and Lake Zürich. On arrival see the sorrowful sculpture of the wounded lion, commemorating the brave Swiss guards who died defending King Louis XVI during the French Revolution. Your Travel Director will also show you the Jesuit Church and the Chapel Bridge.

DAY 11: AUGUST 24, 2018 LUCERNE. Commence the day with a morning stroll along lakeside promenades or shopping for fine watches while enjoying the scenery. Then, from the town of Stans, embark on a scenic journey by funicular railway and open-top cable car to the summit of the stunning Mount Pilatus. Take in the pristine mountain air and on a clear day you may see as far as Alsace and the Black Forest.

DAY 12: AUGUST 25, 2018 ZURICH & BASEL. Travel to Zürich. See the Bahnhofstrasse, Grossmünster, River Limmat and Frauenmünster on an orientation of the city with your Travel Director. Stop at the Rhine Falls en route to your cruiseline in Basel, check in time permitting.
