SEPTEMBER 2017 SPRING Welcome to the Spring Edition of the Wickham Flower Newsletter. The current conditions in most areas are looking great at the moment, and hopefully will continue. Recently Wickham Flower held its First Annual Awards Night at the Naracoorte Town Hall. This was a fantastic night and gave us a chance to reward & recognise some of the exceptional work that our staff are achieving. Many thanks to all the staff that organised the night especially Laetitia Parsons & Erin Sandercock for all of their efforts (photos and award winners page 3). Wickham Flower will be holding a “Ride & Drive Day” on September 21 st at Moorex Property on 5141 Naracoorte Road. We will have a full range of John Deere tractors, balers, mowers, Goldacres sprayers, K-Line tillage gear, JCB telehandlers, Kuhn spreading & hay equipment, and Mazda & Nissan vehicles. Please register your interest at one of our branches or on our website if you are planning to attend. Currently we have Vaughn & Nick away on our customer trip in the US & Canada. They will be visiting a couple of farms and the John Deere factory, as well as enjoying some of the sites along the way. SPRING

Welcome to the Spring Edition of the Wickham Flower Newsletter. The current conditions in most areas are looking great at

the moment, and hopefully will continue.

Recently Wickham Flower held its First Annual Awards Night at the Naracoorte Town Hall. This was a fantastic night and gave

us a chance to reward & recognise some of the exceptional work that our staff are achieving. Many thanks to all the staff that

organised the night especially Laetitia Parsons & Erin Sandercock for all of their efforts (photos and award winners page 3).

Wickham Flower will be holding a “Ride & Drive Day” on September 21st at Moorex Property on 5141 Naracoorte Road. We

will have a full range of John Deere tractors, balers, mowers, Goldacres sprayers, K-Line tillage gear, JCB telehandlers, Kuhn

these machines in work-like conditions. Please register your interest at one of our branches or on our website if you are

planning to attend.

Currently we have Vaughn & Nick away on our customer trip in the US & Canada. They will be visiting a couple of farms and

the John Deere factory, as well as enjoying some of the sites along the way. This is the 3rd customer trip that we have

organised and I’m sure we will hold more in the future. If you couldn’t make it this year but could be interested in any

upcoming trips, please let us know and we will keep you informed.

Mazda will hold their once a year “M Day” sale in September. If you are thinking of updating your vehicle, now is the best

time with exceptional savings including free on road costs, free accessories & free extended warranty. Come and see George

or Dave for a great deal.

After working for Wickham Flower for 13 years, Brian Bartlett has decided to hang up his boots and retire. Brian has been a

SALES REPORT The last few months we have seen some above average rainfalls in the South East with a lot of machinery sitting idle as farmers await the paddocks to dry out; however enquiry is still good over a wide range of machinery.

With spring nearly upon us we are pleased to advise that our pre season order of gators, along with a good range of mowers have been received into stock and are on display on the showroom floor.

We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new John Deere 5R tractor which will be on display at the ride and drive day to be held in September. We would strongly advise our vineyard clients to make the effort to attend this day as we think you will be pleasantly surprised with the new model and its features. The tractor will only be available for a limited time with Wickham Flower, so if you are unable to attend the day please let us know so we can arrange another time that suits with you.

Demand is high for used loader tractors, so if you are thinking of upgrading your current machine we encourage you to contact the branch for a good deal, and with interest rates as low as 0% over a 36 month term (conditions apply), there has never been a better time to buy. Come in and see Jeff or Nick with any enquires you have.

It’s been such an excellent start to the season and all the ducks are in a row for a cracker around Keith in 2017, with a good early break to the season, mild start to winter and now constant rains to follow. The livestock and harvest equipment are going to have a big task ahead of them keeping all the hay, feed and grain under control!

With spring just around the corner the workshop is already into full swing. Currently they are fitting together a 36mtr G6 Goldacres self-propelled sprayer with automatic height control, auto greaser and bright enough LED lights to turn night into day. The floor shop Gator has been fitted and loaded with 200ltr spot sprayer to show off the Gators ability in strength, durability and handling when it comes to standard farm use.

With 2 new 6R series tractors being delivered in the last month, clients are now experiencing and enjoying the recent comfort and technology advancements John Deere continues to bring. Another new Kuhn spreader & mower conditioner has been ordered and our enquires are running high as interest rates remain low on what looks to be a great harvest ahead. For further enquires and to start making plans for next year please come into the branch and meet our new salesman - Ian Schulz.

With the days finally starting to get longer, the season is shaping up quite well. While everyone is busy spraying and spreading, the hay season is not much more than a month away! We still have some John Deere and Kuhn mower conditioners available for this season, good deals on Kuhn rotary hay rakes and we also have a couple of quality used harvesters available for harvest 2017/18. We are excited to have a Coolamon 30T chaser bin with 20” auger & weight scales in our yard, which we will be using behind a John Deere 8R tractor as a demo during harvest. Drop in & have a look at this extremely well finished bit of gear or give us a call if you would like to see it in your paddock. Forward order season for sprayers and tractors is in full swing, with the best discount structure available until October.

Please save the date of 21st, September for the massive Ride and drive Day down at Moorex, an event well worth attending to drive nearly everything in the range in real conditions.

Kassie & the service team are in full swing doing pre-season checks for harvesters & hay gear. If you haven’t organised a check over give Kassie a call.

We hope the season continues in the same fashion. Please feel free to contact Chris or Duncan with any queries you may have.
