Gearless Rollers & Drive.
These bundles, costituted by gearless motorollers matched
with smart drives, have been conceived as a specific product
for conveyor, crossbelt and any roller transfer systems.
Motorollers are motors cartridges to be inserted into the roller
to be moved. The high torque can be transmitted to the roller
through a retaining ring, that works as a spring on a radial
surface. The technology on which the motor is based come
from the direct drive torque motors. Consequently, the motion
is transmitted directly from the motoroller to the load.
The employement of direct drive technology in Gearless
Roller motors ensures:
> High MTBF, as the motoroller needs less components
than the standard kinematic chain
> System efficiency increase due to the absence of gears
inside the motoroller
> Accuracy, because the transducer communicates an
absolute position without errors due to mechanical backlash
> High dynamic thanks to the direct drive technology
> Easy replacement: with the autoaddressing system of
DMR Drive, the substitution with a new motoroller does not
require any configuration action
> Easy commissioning: a unique code for all applications
and speed range.

Gearless Rollers & Drive.
Gearless motoroller series 80 is driven by DMR, a dedicated drive especially designed
for the logistic application. This bundle is particularly oriented for conveyor or medium
and large size crossbelt motion control. DMR drives communicate through Profibus and
incorporate motion functions to control the luggage loading/unloading.
Main advantages: > high peak current for heavy luggage > high motion control in
space and velocity > user friendly parameters setting > advanced diagnostics > drive
auto-addressing system, at boot time each drive is auto-addressed without changing
any parameter > DMR is programmable with a series of commands for the conveyor
system running, as: different acceleration and deceleration profile activations > direction reverse > pulses
positioning with hall sensors or incremental encoder > functioning diagnostic > gather function with no
contact of the moved parts > emergency stops and syncronized starts handling
Following the direct drive principles, also Gearless Roller series features the advantages of this technology. This motor replaces all transmission
mechanical components (as gearboxes, belts and pulleys) > bypasses the limits given by backlash, friction and inertia > improves motion linearity
and precision > enhances manufactured throughput
and reliability > decreases noise level > distributes
power and motion control intelligence in the machine
> simplifies and speeds up the design and assembly
of the machine > saves energy in machine operation

The feedback loop of the Gearless Roller
motors is ensured by hall sensors, the working
temperature is controlled by thermal sensor.

The bundle costituted by Gearless Motoroller 50 and LITE -
PRO drive is particularly oriented for conveyor and light size
crossbelt motion control. The extremely compact 4-quadrants
drives match perfectly to control the gearless motorollers
series 50. Standard CanOpen interface and a complete
programmable version with integral Motion Process Unit, allow
stand alone and network architecture operation. Features:
> standard feedback TTL encoder and Hall Sensor > servo
modes: torque, velocity and position with S-curve profile
> internal script.

LSM - Linear Synchronous Motors - is a traction system for sorting machines based on the technology of our former series SKA DDL direct drive synchronous linear motor. Magnetic tracks are applied under each carrier (moving parts) and they are powered by coils distributed along the machine loop.
LSM system uses moving magnet linear motor principle, with coils fitted on the loop frame and a magnetic plate embedded in each carrier. This architecture features a linear motion of moving magnet type.When coils are power supplied, the carrier starts its motion while control passes from one coil to the next without losing position or control of motion.Coils are installed on the loop frame at a mutual distance according to the carrier length.The system includes a feedback positioning device that allows prompt and precise recognition of the carrier position along the loop.The outcome is a totally direct driven solution that allows superior performances guaranteed by the technology of the direct motion, while enhancing energy saving (consumption lower than 30% of conventional traction systems), remarkable noise level reduction as well as reduced maintenance operations, a very critical issue on large sorting plants.
