BRYAN HAINERWhat makes you feel good about the subject in your shot? My cats are good friends of mine. We talk about stuff and they make me feel better about things sometimes. How does photography differ, to you, from other forms of self expression? I dont think that photography differs much at all from other art forms. It’s all about composition, balance and communication. And one who does those things from the heart inevitably reveals much about themselves.Who is your favorite photographer?Although I admire many photographers, I am my favorite photographer. I create first for myself. I assume other photographers do exactly the same, therefore their work cannot possibly touch me as deep and completely as mine does for me.

MAD TAM LOPEZWhat makes you feel good about the subject in your shot? That everyone would think that it is one thing when it really is not, its just fruit kids! LOLHow does photography differ, to you, from other forms of self expression? That when I see something, no matter what it maybe, I can capture it one shot. Who is your favorite photographer?Don’t have one, I just love to see others photos on what they see. Best Advice?Have fun! don’t be afraid that your doing it wrong, sometimes our best is when we least expect it.vv

CUNT DRACULAWhat makes you feel good about the subject of your shot?Shit, I don’t even know. Just the fact that the kid appreciated what he saw.How does photography differ, to you, from other forms of self expression? That you can capture more than one thing, the kid, the sky, the graff on the wall.Who is favorite photographer?I really liked Salvador Dali’s. Wish I could take shit like him! Best Advice?Go with the flow, Don’t try too much!

JORGE NOVOAWhat makes you feel good about the subject of your shot? I have an ongoing project where my goal is to photograph the interesting people in my life. By taking these photos I wanted to express the personality and particular style of that subject. How does photography differ, to you, from other forms of self expression? To me photographs are an instant piece of memory that are frozen in time. Photography offers a way for the artist to weave and create a reality based on what we all see using those images. Photos can give us a different point of view on something that we see everyday. Who is your favorite photographer?Although I am influenced by many photographers, there isn’t one that I can say is my favorite. I try to learn from all of them. Best Advice? Photograph what you love. Whatever it might be.

CHRIS JONESWhat makes you feel good about the subject of your shot?I like when anything reminds me of simple moments. I would like to think that everyone can remember spending the day in bed with someone they are completely enraptured with. Everything slows down and you feel as if the world is right after all. How does photography differ, to you, from other forms of self expression? There would probably be a lot of people who would say the instant gratification and the indelible impres-sion. The type of photography I gravitate towards is photography that is unique. So when someone looks at the picture they feel like it took some margin of persuasion or difficulty...as if not every person could get that photo. Who is your favorite photographer?Contemporary would be Nadav Kander or Mitch Epstein and a photographer who doesn’t pratice anymore, would be Danny Lyons these are the artist that antithesis moment capturing to me.

MR. RISKITWhat makes you feel good about the subject of your shot? The picture of the spray can represents the culture of who I am. It is my escape from this robotic world . Why it makes me feel good, you ask? From the first time I scribbed on a park bench I felt like an outlaw. HaHa! at age 11! As I started hanging out with more artist, I became more familiar with not only graffiti culture, but with hip hop. At first, to me, it was all about destroying, fucking shit up. Picking up rocks to scribe on any glass I could. Running up to Micheal’s and racking woodcrafts and decos. Thought I was unstoppable until I turned 18. Bang! Got busted and served quite a bit of time. Got out and realized that illegal graffiti wasn’t worth a felony and not being there for my family. If it wasn’t for graffiti, I would have never met my wife (in a train yard painting a caboose). Bam! HaHa I now have two monster boys with her. So yeah, hip hop culture not only changed my life, but also made it better. How does photography differ, to you, from other forms of self expression?I am the guy everyone looks forward to seeing at the clubs, hip hop shows and events. When they see me I get nothing but total respect. I get to capture every action, every moment, and be the eyes behind the eye.Who is your favorite photographer? The guy behind my Nikon.Best Advice?Stop snitching. Instead of being worried about how someone else is doing their job, worry about how you’re doing yours. Mind your own business. Shout out to Choco Tacos!!! P.S. Yo Mamma!
