¡Buena suerte!

Introduction
The Inglés de cada día manual was designed to make it easy and con-
venient for students of English to practise and memorise the vocabu-lary and expressions that are most frequently used in a wide variety of everyday situations in English-speaking countries. Its primary objectiveis to help learners improve their knowledge through self-study. Plus, the fact that the manual was developed to work both ways means thatit is also highly suitable for English speakers who would like to learnSpanish.
Inglés de cada día consists of:
• An introduction to English language, history, uses and phonetics, all of the phrases in Spanish with an English translation, vocabulary for a wide range of communication situations, and a grammarguide.
• A CD with the expressions and phrases recorded in English andSpanish (as both MP3 files and CDA tracks) and grouped into 26topics, according to the situations where they are generally used.
The manual may be used with several goals in mind:
• To compare expressions . Listen carefully to the CD. You’ll see thatafter every phrase or expression in Spanish, there is a pause for you
to try to remember how to say it in English. A few seconds later, you’ll hear the equivalent expression typically used in the samesituation.
• To improve your pronunciation. All you have to do is repeat thephrases in English or in Spanish. To do so, you can use the pauseand rewind buttons on your CD player.

• To memorise . Many language students find it helpful to listen to what they read. This is an excellent way to learn.
• To quiz yourself . All you have to do is cover up the expressions inEnglish with a sheet of paper and try to translate them intoSpanish, or the other way around. As you go, check to see whether or not your answer is correct.
This being said, there are also many other ways to learn. If you havethe chance to practise with a native speaker, don’t be shy! Languagesare learned by reading them… and speaking them.
Good luck!

do en Gales, Escocia y Cornualles).

genéricas en presente (He works in a hotel ).

(come coming ).

sobre planes y citas que se van a desarrollar en un momento concretodel futuro (I’m going to London next week ) o para hablar de procesos, desarrollos o tendencias (Our shares are falling ).
