Become Future Proof!The ‘Amsterdamse Carrière Dagen’ is one of the largest career events in Amsterdam. This year, the 17th edition of the ‘Amsterdamse Carrière Dagen’ (ACD) will take place in the week of February 20th 2012. The number of participating companies and students has grown vastly over the years. In the previous edition more than 60 companies and 1000 students, of which 75% master students, took part in the ACD. The main goal of the ACD is to attract students who are in the last phase of their studies and to allow these students to get to meet interesting companies and potential future employers.

The ACD is a combined initiative of faculty associations Aureus (VU University) and Sefa (University of Amsterdam). Because of this collaboration, all economic and business students from Amsterdam and surrounding areas are reached.

The opportunity to increase the awareness of your company among university students. Furthermore, it allows for personal contact with these students through participating in the numerous possibilities; a company presentation, case sessions, individual conversations, breakfast, lunch, dinner, high tea and training.

A leading career event in Amsterdam represented by the University of Amsterdam and the VU University, thus reaching the entire student population of Amsterdam and surrounding areas.

A target group that focuses itself only on university students with an economic background. During our event, the participating students will have a broader knowledge spam compared to other career events. The students represent the economics faculty from both universities; business administration, international business administration, business economics (finance, accountancy, organizational economics) and economics.

A unique concept, where interaction between students and companies plays a crucial role. It is not a fair where students just get acquainted with companies, but an event with sincerely interested students, most of the time chosen after résumé selection.

IntroductionThe table on the next page provides an overview of the participation options and its corresponding prices. There are two packages, which both consist of participation and exposure opportunities. It is possible to extend these two packages. An explanation of all possible participation options is given below. Besides the standard packages, it is also possible to offer a training session to students. An explanation of this will also be provided below. Company presentationThe company presentation is an ideal opportunity to introduce your company to the visiting students. These presentations are accessible for every student. During this time, the company gets the chance to elaborate on their organizational structure, organizational culture, career possibilities and the corresponding application procedure. Duration: 50 minutes Capacity: maximum 100 people Résumé selection: No

Case sessionDuring a case session, a group of up to 25 students will work intensively on one of your company’s cases. This session lasts 1 hour and 50 minutes and can be extended by an hour for additional costs. Résumé selection is also possible, but for this there will be an additional fee. Duration: 1 hour and 50 minutes (2 hours and 50 minutes after extension) Capacity: Maximum 25 people Résumé selection: Optional

Interviews (individual conversations)Individual conversations grant you the opportunity to have thorough conversations with students whom you have selected yourself. This gives you the possibility to meet and analyze the students in an interactive manner. The conversations are charged per hour, with a minimal purchase of 3 hours. This can be extended to 4 or 5 hours at additional cost. You can choose to have conversations of 30 or 60 minutes with the students you selected on the basis of their résumé. Duration: 30 or 60 minutes per conversation, minimal purchase is 3 hours Capacity: Depends on the duration per conversation and your purchase (1 or 2 students per hour). Résumé selection: Yes

High teaThis concept makes it possible for you to get acquainted with a small group of students in an informal setting for 1.5 hours. You will choose these students through résumé selection. The cost of the high tea itself is not covered. Duration: 90 minutes Capacity: Maximum 10 people Résumé selection: Yes

Breakfast / Lunch / DinnerBesides the options mentioned above, there is the possibility to have breakfast, lunch or dinner with students you selected in a private area. The group of students can consist of up to 15 people and the duration depends on the type of meal. The dinner takes place after the daily programme and can be organized at the location or at any other restaurant of your choice. We would be happy to assist you in finding a restaurant in Amsterdam. This activity always includes résumé selection. However, the cost of the meal is not covered. Media ExposureACD uses different types of media exposure, such as the profile book, the ACD website, the conference folder, a film and posters and flyers.

The profile bookThe profile book is an essential way to communicate with participants. The book mainly contains important information about the participating companies and the daily programmes of the ACD. Each company that purchases a package will get a page in the profile book with their company profile and an A4-size advertisement. Main sponsors will also get an additional A3-size advertisement, which will be placed at the beginning or end of the profile book. Hard copies of the profile books will be sent to master students of Economics and Business Administration department at the VU University (VU) Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Moreover, the profile books will be handed out during the promotion at the universities prior to the ACD. It will also be placed on the website www.acd.nu. In total, 3.500 copies of the profile book will be spread.

Main sponsor As a main sponsor, you can get the best out of all the possible exposure options that the ACD has to offer. By being a main sponsor, your logo will be placed on the cover of the conference folder and will get a prominent spot on the flyers, posters and profile book. Lastly, your company will receive extra exposure through a promotion film and the banner on the ACD website.

Own stand at the social drinkA main sponsor will get a prominent place at the social drinks, making your company recognizable to students for a day. This stand can be covered with banners and posters which you bring along. It will allow your company to answer all the questions students may have and to promote your company as a whole.

The information brochureAs part of the promotion, an information brochure will be sent to 3rd year and pre-master students in the field of economics and business administration of the VU and UvA. This information brochure is a clearly structured document containing the most important information about ACD, such as the daily programmes and the logos of the participating companies. 5000 copies of the information brochure will be spread in total.

The ACD websiteWhen purchasing a package, your company’s profile will be put on the ACD website with a link to your company’s own website. In addition to this, a space is reserved specially for main sponsors to place company banners. This prominent place on the homepage will ensure your company receives extra attention from students.

Promotion filmDuring the promotion prior to the ACD, a film is used to increase the awareness of this event and will be played during lectures of the main target groups. In this film, your organization will be able to differentiate and promote itself.

Other exposure optionsBesides the regular exposure options, you can also increase your exposure at the ACD through other means. You can have your logo printed on a diverse selection of promotional material. Examples of these are water bottles, umbrellas and saddle covers. We would like to help you think of different ways in order to create custom made exposure!

Your logo here?

The conference folderDuring the ACD, a conference folder will be handed out to all participating students. We expect that there will be about 1,000 students present during the week. The conference folder contains important information for students, such as the personal programme of the student, a notepad, flyers and a pen. The company logos of the maximum of four main sponsors will be placed on the cover of the conference folder. An example of this is shown here. For additional exposure, it will be possible to provide your own flyer for the conference folder.

Promotion flyers and postersNumerous ACD posters and flyers will be spread during the dynamic promotion of the ACD. The company logos of all participating companies will be printed on these posters and flyers. A prominent space is reserved for main sponsors to make sure their companies get extra attention. This is done by printing the logos of these companies larger. The flyers and posters will be handed out and hung up within the VU University and the University of Amsterdam.

Training possibilitiesIn addition to the standard package, the ACD offers you the possibility to provide a training to students. The participating students have received these trainings enthusiastically in the past. However, please note that there is no exposure included in the training package.
