    Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Information on the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is available on the website of the OHCHR at http://www2.ohchr.org/english/issues/disability/index.htm Membership of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities At the time of entry into force2 of the Convention, the Committee shall consist of twelve experts. After an additional sixty ratifications or accessions to the Convention, the membership of the Committee shall 2 The Convention is not yet in force. As at 21 January 2008, there are 123 signatories and 14 ratifications of the Convention and 69 signatories and 8 ratifications of the Optional Protocol.     3 The Convention is not yet in force. On 6 February 2007, the Convention was opened for signature. So far, 72 States have signed and two have ratified the Convention. It will come into force when ratified by 20 States.
