CATHOLIC CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN
DEVELOPMENT Next week, our second collection will be for
the CCHD. Over 46 million people in the United
States live in poverty. This collection supports pro-
grams to empower people to identify and address the
obstacles they face as they work to lift themselves out
of poverty. By supporting this collection you give
people a hand up, not a hand out. Learn more about
the Catholic Campaign for Human Development

answer any questions you have about scouting and tell
you about all the stuff we have lined up for the next
year – skiing, winter camping, kayaking, backpack-
ing, rock climbing. If you are in the 5th through
8th grade, this is a great time to join scouting, and you
don’t need to have ever been a cub scout. Like we
say, no experience necessary – we’ll supply the expe-
rience! Curious? We’ll be on the hill here at St. Hel-
en Saturday (Nov 18th) afternoon.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
This past Tuesday,
our second graders
celebrated the Sac-
rament of Reconcil-
iation. Each child
decorated their own
candle, which they
lit after making
their confession, as
a reminder of the
Light of Christ they received at baptism. The candles
are lit in the sanctuary this weekend to mark this mile-
stone as a parish family. Please continue to keep our
children in your prayers!
COME HOLY SPIRIT! This weekend,
youth who are pre-
paring to receive
the Sacrament of
Confirmation made
a commitment to
grow in faith and
prayer, serve others
willingly, and to
become a witness to
the gospel values and moral precepts of the Church in
order to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Join
us in praying for them and their sponsors who will
accompany them in this time of preparation!
FROM OUR MAINTENANCE STAFF Last Sunday evening, our area experienced
very heavy rain in a short period of time, which
flooded our church basement. A call for help was
published on social media, and an amazing number of
parishioners showed up immediately with shop vacs
and a willingness to help. A very special THANK
YOU to all who came down, offered prayers, or
checked in with us! Thanks to your help, school was
able to open on Monday with minimal issues.
