Trend forecasting and range building for each account across Ladieswear department. Travel overseas to conduct trend research and purchase samples. Present range to buyers that is account specific, on trend, relevant and achievable. Manage briefing meetings and checking of all briefs sent out to suppliers. Analyzing of current figures, factors and targets. Identifying growth areas, potential programs and missed opportunities. Reporting on in-store findings. Build relationships with buyers of each account. Monitoring sales and development of new styles based on sales. Consistently researching for newness in product, fabric and trend direction. Assist coordinators, cad designers and merchandisers in development of ranges. Checking all tech packs, cads and overseeing CAD designers. Left to pursue Buying.

Production Coordinator/ Merchandiser July 2013 – Feb 2014

Communicated daily with overseas suppliers to ensure that development and production samples are executed correctly and in a timely manner. Producing quality product at the right price. Negotiating costs with suppliers on styles briefed. Developed and sourced of new fabrics, while building and maintaining of supplier relationships. Within a short space of time I was then promoted to a Merchandiser role fully managing and handling of day to day on various accounts. Volunteer, Awethu Project Johannesburg July 2013 – March 2014The Awethu Project is a business incubator that identifies and develops entrepeneurs from underprivileged and disadvantaged backgrounds. Specifically assisted a coach working with an aspiring lady designer. Aided in getting her small CMT up and running as well as advising with her own label and design aspirations, trend direction, putting systems in place to maximise on efficiency of production while producing high quality goods. Effectively she was chosen for investment into her business, due to her stellar performance and outstanding proposal. In this short time we have seen her business grow, especially the CMT, producing garments for small boutiques and to uniforms for The Metro Police to Hospital workers. With the large investment made into her business, she has hired more help and her business continues to flourish.

Worked and Travelled Abroad March 2010 – Feb 2012Worked on luxury motor yachts for periods of time and travelled between jobs. This was a great period to discover parts of the world in a truly unique way before focusing on my

Serving high profile guests on charters, maintenance of yacht interior and assisting crew with daily tasks and events / parties. Required all tasks to be carried out meticulously and with strict attention to detail. Travelled from Croatia to Florida in the USA, the Caribbean, and then finally through the Panama Canal to Mexico and San Diego. Returned to SA at last stop to pursue career and studies.
