In order to gain most out of a new job, what should we do?

Break out of your comfort zone.

Know your company very well

Never back down on setbacks

Learn, Learn, Learn and Learn

Simply, your comfort zone is a behavioural space where your activities and behaviours fit a routine and pattern that minimizes stress and risk.

Imagine, what would have happened if these people would have stuck on to their comfort zones??
