History and Location of Indium
Indium was discovered in 1863 by two German named Ferdinand Reich and Theodore Richter.
It was identified as a minor component in zinc ores .
Named after the indigo line in its atomic spectrum
Found melted in a type of mirror Found in film coatings on LCDs Found in lower concentration in
many rocks and minerals Found in certain alloys

Indium (to the theme of Oh Christmas Tree)
Oh, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
Oh solid metal, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
You’re the silver-white element, Indium.
Oh, you’re a soft element,
But you emit a “scream” when bent
Oh, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
Oh solid metal, Indium.
Oh, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
Oh, solid metal, Indium.
Oh, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
You’re the silver-white element, Indium.
In 1863, so long ago,
You were found and named after indigo.
Oh, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
Oh solid metal, Indium.
Oh, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
Oh, solid metal, Indium
Oh, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
Oh solid metal, Indium.
You’re the silver-white element, Indium.
Your used in many things, you see,
You’re in film coatings in LCD’s.
Oh, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
Oh, solid metal, Indium.
Oh, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
Oh solid metal, Indium.
Oh, Indium,
Oh, Indium,
You’re the silver-white element, Indium.
You’re a component in zinc ores,
And you’re used in special types of mirrors.
Oh, Indium,
