Tlie tables earned out a golden motif, with arrangements of gold and yellow flowers, golden candles and nut cups, and a corsage for each member. The buffet table was centered with a bouquet of gladioli and Oregon holly. Dinner committee was Mrs. iMrs. Oiarles P. Dean, chairman, assisted by Mrs. William H. Crosby Miss Gertrude Fuller and Mrs. Mollie Dunn McKee. Mrs. Bessie Herrick Moon gave the history of the club, entitled, "The Golden Years." Miss Mar- garet Scott showed pictures of a European holiday. The club was organized in 1908 by Mrs. John M. Cushman and Miss Adelle Underwood's piano class with object to study music. Theme chosen was "Don't Idly | Dream But Do/* Prior to the Gvic Music As- sociation's inception, the Music ; Study Club brought several famous artists to Jamestown. Among them were John Powell. American pian- ist; Madame Louise Homer, so- prano; Charles Wakefield Cadman, composer and pianist and assisting him the Indian Princess Tsinina; Lada, the interpretive dancer; John Prindle Scott, composer and organ- ist; and Dr. Leroy B. Campbell, world traveler, who often appeared to lecture on art and music. Many outstanding programs and concerts have also been sponsored by the talented club members and local artists through the 50 years of its organization. Present officers mclude Mrs. John R. IMusic Club Celebrates 50th Year

Attractive year books of black and gold to com­memorate 50 years of con-1 tinued activity were distribu­ted to members of the Music Study Club at a dinner in the Town Club Wednesday evening.

Tlie tables earned out a golden motif, with arrangements of gold and yellow flowers, golden candles and nut cups, and a corsage for each member. The buffet table was centered with a bouquet of gladioli and Oregon holly.
