salesman, fisherman, loved working with Boy Scouts as Cub Master, Boy Scout Master, District

Commissioner, and many other titles over 30 years. He loved hiking , camping and making his world

We miss you, Herb!

Thomas Alphin Sr. April 6, 2013

Tommy has been a man of honor for as long as I have known him. He carried his donor card on him until his death. For Tommy to give life to

someone in need was always a proud choice for him and I thank God not only for my husband but

the everlasting gift of his life.

Tump Noble Anthony April 8, 2013

A beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle.

Loved to work in his yard with his flowers. Enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren.

Loved to grocery shop at Wal-Mart where he was employed.

Bradley H. Bethel, M.D. July 30, 2013

Dapper and detail-oriented, chivalrous Brad was serious about

faithfully serving God and others, including: HIS patients, HIS health care system, HIS Hospice, HIS nursing home, HIS colleagues, HIS community, and HIS family. A lover of classic cars, our “on time”, unique, and beloved husband and father

respected and appreciated life and his many wonderful opportunities to share blessings with others.

Marvin “Jazzman” Cato February 3, 2013

You meant so much to all of us,

You were special and that’s no lie; You brightened up the darkest day,

And parted the cloudiest of sky.

Few hearts like your with virtue warm’d, Few heads with knowledge so informed;

You gave of yourself whole heartedly, And showed us how to live carefree.

Your smile alone warmed many a hearts,

Your laugh was like music to hear; I would give absolutely anything,

To have you well and standing near.

So, save me a seat beside you at that big Jazz Fest in the sky, And remember my love…

“See ya later, but never goodbye.”

Gabriella Elena Cabanas November 10, 2013

My beautiful baby daughter, Gabriella Elena Cabanas. Her smile was

so bright she lit up the room. What a happy little girl she was. Our time with her was short but in that time she touched so many hearts –

she will be remembered forever.

Gabby, you are in heaven with the Lord, free and happy, but you are dearly missed by your mommy, your sister, Isabella, and all of your

family.

May the Lord bless you and keep you in his arms until one day we are reunited.

You are in my heart forever – I love you so much..

Justin Pritchard Cline December 4, 2013

I miss your smirky smile.

I miss your delicious pecan pies. But most of all, I miss you.

You were always a helping hand at church, especially with the chicken and bar-b-que.

We love you very much.

Charles M. Corbett Jr. March 17, 2013

Dad, We miss you so much. You gave us everything and we are so thankful everyday that we got to have you as our Dad. We know you are free now and can breath again – and we know Cookie met you at the Rainbow Bridge. We can’t wait to see you again; until then, we know you are watching over us and protecting us, and

your life lives on in your grandson.

Donna Marie Davis September 1, 2013

Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. God has you in heaven. We

have you forever in our hearts.

Fernando Raul Diaz November 23, 2013

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He impacted our life in so many

ways.

Noelle Dixon November 13, 2013

She was kind, radiant and beautiful inside and out. Her light will always shine forever in the lives of so many that she touched with

her spirit. Just to see her smile one more time…

In our hearts you live forever and you are loved more than words could ever say…

Our beautiful angel, Noelle.

James O’Neal Dulin December 10, 2013

“Jim” was a loving husband and father. To his

grandkids he was known as Paw Paw. He was an avid reader and writer. His love for history could be found in all aspects of his life. No more suffering

and no more pain until one day we meet again.

We love you.

Noah Elzoheiry June 21, 2013

Sweet Noah, when you entered this world, we knew our lives

would never be the same. We knew that God granted us a gift of light so bright and so special that was beyond our comprehension.

There wasn’t a soul that met you that wasn't deeply affected by your love, your smile, or the look in your eyes. And when your

beautiful soul left this earth, the light dimmed in our lives. May God have mercy on you and may you feel only happiness and

serenity as you so deserve. You are loved, Noah…until we meet again.

William “Bill” Evans June 10, 2013

Bill was my husband and best friend. He was the founder of the Native American Cultural Sites Preservation Project. He

dedicated his life to stop the destruction of all historical, cultural, and burial sites. I lost the love of my life, but

society lost a truly dedicated friend. His motto – “Preserving the Past for the Future.”

Danny Flowers July 29, 2013

I will love you

Forever and a day. 3-1-54 7-29-13

Dache’ Gossett September 21, 2013

Dache’: Loving son and brother. Kind-hearted

caring, easy-going, cool-kind-of-guy, with a funny humorous nature, and loved by many. We all miss you dearly. Eyes that twinkle and a smile

so bright, you are one of a kind. Our hearts are with you.

Justin Hamby May 13, 2013

We don’t understand why his life was cut short on this earth, but God is in

control and we put our trust in Him. Justin made a huge impact on all that had the privilege of knowing him. Not a day goes by that he is not loved

and missed. You are forever in our hearts.

It’s always too soon It’s always too fast

They’re always too young It’s always so sad

It ain’t about the numbers Chiseled in concrete

It’s how they lived their lives In the dash in between

- Songwriters Kyle Jacobs and Preston Brust

JUSTIN, WE THINK YOU LIVED YOUR DASH WONDERFULLY!!!!!

Thomas Anthony Harris November 25, 2013

Love brought you to me; Hope helps me to endure;

Never have I met such a loving soul; He never met a stranger and always had a hug to give

away; I miss you but now you are at peace.

May God grant all of us that remain the same peace. Rest easy my sweet child;

Gone but never ever forgotten.

Doug R. Helms June 26, 2013

“In Remembrance, With Love”

Doug Helms, it thrills my heart that two people have received sight and are seeing

through your eyes.

Love forever, Your Wife,

Sandra

April Ryann Helton August 4, 2013

The most loving spirit with a heart purely made of gold;

One who lived her life for all those around her. The most beautiful soul with a presence that would light up any room. She was a daughter, a sister and a wife. Never could you ever

forget the memories and moments. Ironically she loved peacocks which is a symbol of eternal life and immortality.

Even though God has gained an angel and she is no longer in our presence, the memories and moments will forever linger in

all our hearts till we meet again.

David H. Hoyle March 20, 2013

Beloved husband, father, brother

We little knew that morning God was going to call your name,

In life we loved you dearly; In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you You did not go alone,

for part of us went with you The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories

Your love is still our guide, And although we cannot see you,

You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken

And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one

The chain will link again.

Jay G. Innes July 18, 2013

Jay was a kind man of few words. We met in high school and he

became my best friend, husband, and father. After 39 years, raising two wonderful children and a granddaughter, you were taken away too soon. Your love for Braves baseball is missed so much. Please

know that you are always in hearts and your memories live on.

“It has been said that time heals all wounds. I don’t agree. The wounds remain. Time – the mind, protecting its sanity - covers them

with some scar tissue and the pain lessens, but it is never gone.” - Rose Kennedy

Donald R. Keever, Jr. October 18, 2013

Don was a man who was a Christian and full of life. He had a laugh like no other. He had a heart of gold and a smile to melt it. He loved helping

others. He never met a stranger. He loved hunting and spending time with his brother, Roger, who was his best friend. We had wonderful

times together. He would always hug me and tell me how much he loved and missed me when I arrived home from work. I miss you, but know

that you are at peace with God now.

Love always, Your wife,

Beverly

“Pop”

I could search the world over and never find a

father so dear and kind… With the cheerful smile and loving ways you bring me much joy and brighten my days…

I love you more than you know for you are fine and true…

But the real reason I loved you is because you were you!!

Jessica Elaine Maynard November 2, 2012

May it be that this ever-living-flower, which gave the

fragrance of her youth to others, should be an example for all youth. May the receivers of her gift and all around them know, she stood against evil and gave her life for that and

them. Even when they wronged her, she gave her all and did without to help them. When she was getting her life right for

Sammie, her little sister, God chose to pick her to be an instrument of peace for all the world. We love you always.

Your smile will be in our hearts forever.

Charles Medves October 23, 2013

Beloved Son, Father, Brother and Friend.

Charles was a sergeant with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department with 23 years of service.

Charles enjoyed biking, playing guitar, Civil War history,

Gettysburg, PA, beautiful Charleston, SC, and many islands of North and South Carolina every summer.

Love for animals showed over the years, enjoying Baron and Ivy,

both German Shepherds, and Vesta, a Siberian Husky.

God blessed us with a beautiful son for 47 years.

Charles will always be our Sunshine.

Ken Newcombe May 30, 2013

Even though his health was progressively failing him, he was able to smile or say something funny to try and make the others around him

feel better. Ken lived his last years in a nursing home, but he still thanked God for loving him in spite of needing full time care. He

shared God’s love with so many in the home. He would often read the Bible or pray with those he lived with. One of the greatest things he did was learn to create amazing drawings and paintings with his left hand after losing the use of his right hand. He gave most of those

pieces of art away and many he gave to the people he met in the nursing home, including the staff there. I think the most memorable

attribute Ken had, was his willingness to give to others, whether it was his time, smile, or a painting, he remained unselfish even unto his

death. His donation of organs was just a continuation of his giving. We love and miss you!

Bob David Pate, Jr. “Bizzie”

September 12, 2013

Beloved son, brother, father, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend

Lil David lived life to the fullest. He never met a stranger. He would brighten up a ball park with his smile. He has always from a very young age been a loving and giving person

and had a way to bring people together. He was known as the peacemaker to all.

Lil David spent most of his time living his dream of one day becoming a hip-hop artist. His passion was creating videos, rapping and taking pictures that would capture his smile.

My decision to allow my son to become an organ donor with LifeShare Of The Carolinas

was an extremely hard decision considering what I was already going through. But I know the decision I made was the right one. My son was always a giving person always putting other’s issues before his own. With that being said I know my son lives on through others

and in a sense he is still here with me.

Loving you always, Lil David, Mommy, Pops, Raheem, Tyleek, Jazmine, Javen, Grandma Alice and your aunts, uncles,

cousins, friends

Thomas L. Petitt December 24, 2013

Beloved Husband, Father , and Grandfather

May you always walk in sunshine And God’s love around you flow For the happiness you gave us

No one will ever know It broke our hearts to lose you

But you did not go alone A part of us went with you

The day God called you home A million times we’ve needed you

A million times we’ve cried If love could only of saved you

You would not have died

Edward “Cline” Pope October 27, 2013

Cline’s main goal in life was to bring happiness to everyone he met. He tried to make everyone laugh. He loved life and treasured his friends and family. He thanked God for his many blessings. He

was a wonderful husband to his wife, Teresa. He and his son, Adam, were not only father and son, but each other’s best friend. He loved his daughter-in-law, Ginger, like a daughter. He was a

great Papa to Adaline, Maebry and Ross. He loved his sisters and in-laws.

He loved to be surrounded by nature.

John Neil Scales, Jr. May 28, 2013

Beloved husband and father. We will never be the same without you and we will always

be better because of you!! We love and miss you dearly, Sweetie.

-Jacee-

Travis Schoon April 28, 2013

“People make life so complicated. You live, you love and you laugh. Try to help people

anyway you can, and leave this world a better place than when you entered it.”

Kayla M. Smith October 10, 2013

My sweet angel

Not a day goes by that I do not think of you Your beautiful smile and Those big beautiful eyes

I often hear you laugh and it always put a smile on my face The hardest thing I’ve ever had to do was to let you go. But

now you are free. It makes me sad because I cannot hold you or kiss your cheeks

I know that you are perfect now. You can walk around and play.

You are perfect. When I pray at night, I ask God to watch out for you because

you have 14 years of talking to do. I love you , my sweet angel. Until we meet again….

Daniel Sossoman January 16, 2013

My body is gone

But I’m always near I’m everything

you feel, see or hear. My spirit is free,

But I’ll never depart As long as as you keep me

Alive in you heart

Elizabeth Splawn November 2, 2013

etched in our hearts.

time we spent with you. We long to be with you and we look forward to the day when we are reunited.

Jonathan Scott Stowe October 17, 2013

Scott never met a stranger. He could make

you smile even on your worst day. He touched the lives of many while on this earth

as well as in his passing. He will be loved and missed forever.

Claude Lisbon (C.L.) Stringer, Jr. January 30, 2013

C.L. was a beloved husband, father, Paw Paw, brother, son,

brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He was an avid sports fan and seemed to always find a good

game to watch on TV.

He loved collecting cards, coins, antiques and McDonald toys. You would always see him with a newspaper, working

crosswords and Jumble.

C.L. touched many people’s lives during his lifetime. He is truly missed by all that knew him.

Jordan “J.T.” Arjai Taylor September 15, 2013

As you close your eyes

And fold your long fingers in prayer, Knowing no matter what

Your Grandma would always be there; From the toot-toot-toot,

On the trombone you’d play To the love for the same Christian video

You’d watch every day. And how he loved that dog

So big and red But he was always able to understand

Each word that was said. For hours you’d drive your imaginary car,

And now even in heaven To God you are a star.

Love,

Your Grandparents, Dolores and Charles Lattaker

Paul J. Taylor, Jr. November 28, 2013

Son, brother, friend, coach, jogger.

Marco Torres August 31, 2013

Fue una persona nata dador de vida y felicidad a las personas que

estavamos a su alrededor. Si tu lo huevieras conocido jamas lo olvidarias. Aun despues de su muerte seguira dando vida y felicidad a

otros personas.

Was a person who was full of life and joy. People who met him found him impossible to forget. In passing he was able through his

donation to give others joy and life. We love you and miss you, Marco.

Bob Westmoreland September 16, 2013

"Bob was highly intelligent and quirky. He would

surprise you with unexpected acts of great kindness, tenderness, and generosity. He enjoyed good food,

motorcycles, and cars. He was a good story-teller and often laughed at the ironies of life and the foibles of

humanity. Bob loved God and was a faithful husband and son.

Caitlyn Elizabeth White August 22, 2013

Caitlyn? Funny, happy, jokester, loving, kind, caregiver, level-headed,

mature, well-adjusted, goal achiever, future nurse, daughter, sister, aunt, loyal, dependable, honest, fair, sneaky, but mainly A Child of The Most High

God! Caitlyn was almost 21 when she moved unexpectedly to heaven. She was a

wonderful sister to both her sisters and brother. She loved animals. At times she preferred them to people. She said, “They

don’t get on my nerves!” Caitlyn posted on FB her favorite quote to be, “To die would be an awfully big adventure.”

There is no doubt that she was not afraid to die. She had the details of heaven and her eternity taken care of. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus

Christ. She make no bones about it, so to speak. She knew the importance of family and church. We (her family) are very

shaken, but we waver not.

Thomas Patrick Wilcox August 20, 2013

Tom was a wonderful young man who left this earth

and those behind much too soon. He was a hard worker who loved his family and friends, and they in turn, loved him. He could never know how much he is missed by all who knew him, We are all so proud of

his giving nature. We love you, Tom!
