Public health authorities have asked all of us to mask in indoor public spaces.
Therefore, masks are to be worn, regardless of vaccination status, effective immediately.
Masks should be worn when coming to church and visiting the office.
We will be closely monitoring masking guidance from public health authorities and will provide updates as necessary. We are hopeful if we all do our part right now, masking guidelines can be eased soon.

Hey Kids Can you imagine what it would be like to be unable to hear? Just imagine all of the things you would miss. You wouldn't be able to hear the voice of your mother, father, siblings or friends. You wouldn’t know what a barking dog or a meowing kitten sounds like. You may be able to feel the vibrations, but you wouldn't be able to hear the sound of music. Many people who are deaf or hearing impaired are able to communicate with others through the use of sign language, but it is not perfect because everyone you meet does not know how to communicate with sign language. The deaf or hearing impaired can enjoy going to the movies if they have subtitles or watch television, if it has captions, but those are not always very accurate either. If a person has some of their ability to hear, hearing aids can help, but those can be tricky too. I guess the best solution for a deaf person would be a total cure for deafness! That is what Jesus did for a deaf man in our Gospel today. One day, Jesus was in an area of the Sea of Galilee. A man who was deaf and could hardly talk was brought to Jesus by some of his friends. They begged Jesus to lay his hands on the man and heal him. Jesus led the man away from the crowd so they could be alone. He put his fingers into the man's ears. Then, he spit on his own fingers and touched the man's tongue. He looked up to heaven and said, "Ephphatha!" - which means, "Be opened!" Immediately, the man could hear perfectly, and he could speak! The people who had brought the man to Jesus were totally amazed. They said, "Everything he does is wonderful. He even makes the deaf to hear and gives speech to those who cannot speak." Then, Jesus told the people not to tell anyone what they had seen him do. Yet, they did not follow his instructions. They told everyone about what Jesus did. It may seem strange that Jesus did not want them to talk about this miracle. However, he was worried that people would only believe if they saw the miracles – he wanted us to believe even if we didn’t see the miracles – after all, Jesus was so much more than the miracles he performed. He was our way to ever-lasting life. Jesus knew that if people spoke of his miracle, it would be a great way to get people to listen to his teachings. However, if they spoke of his miracles and only brought people to him to receive a miracle without a change for their belief in God, it would not be good. Jesus did not want that. He wanted us to truly believe in his teachings, without the need for a miracle. Father, we are thankful for all that you have done for us. Help us to tell our friends about Jesus, the one who does everything well. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

The Secular Order of Servants of Mary (SOSM) will meet each Saturday at 7:30am mass. The Via Matris is prayed and led by Fr. Walter.
Our general meeting is scheduled for the third Saturday of each month. We hope and pray that, at this time of unification parishioners of our Lady of Nazareth will be open to the call of the Holy Spirit, through the invitation of our Lady of Nazareth.
