Presidents Report
What a wonderful night the Combined Christmas and 30th An-niversary of Chartering last Thursday was we were visited bythe Bayside Mayor Cr James Long and blessed that so manypeople came especially our charter members
The charter members and partners attending were Tim andBev Ive Rod Gaskell Mike OrsquoShea Malcolm and Cathy ParksTony and Angela Read Michael Rigg David and MargaretRushworth Geoff Stockdale with Rotarian partner and firstwoman member Kerrie Geard Other past members attendingwere Paul and Leanne Goethel Sue and Dush Dedic and theRay and Toni Taylor Our honorary members Brian and JillKimpton and David and Lyn Greenall also made a special ef-fort to attend
Another long standing member from 1986 Geoff Abbott and his
wife Gillian were at the Beaumaris Motor Yacht Squadronthanks to all for attending
Marilyn Murie as President of our chartering Club Cheltenhamsent Ron and Kay Barber they sat at our table and Megan asrecruiter made every attempt to get them back to RotaryOur invitation to Trevor Allwright and his wife Rachel was ea-gerly taken up their baby was an excellent addition to theeveningrsquos guests The Hedersquos guest Josh who has come toour events before added to the sparkle and fun
The sparkle and fun was really orchestrated by the committeeso much hard work went into this evening I would like to thankeverybody who contributed particularly

I particularly enjoyed the Kris Kringle and have somegood summer reads now
As always with our Club it is really almost a matter of whowasnrsquot helping That of course is true again of SaturdayrsquosFarmers Market when again a substantial proportion ofthe membership were helping on Saturday morning in theusual full Rotary week
Louise Sawle almost did an own goal when Sue McArthurdrew her ticket at the raffle but with great generosity ofspirit Louise got Sue to redraw and someone just livinground the corner was the lucky recipient of the monster
raffle donated by the equally generous Megan GlenwrightThe numbers were down a little at the market we stillmade good money and the raffle raised $550 and theBBQ $810
The Campus Principal phoned me on Friday and askingthat we remove all our equipment I will be calling theProject Manager on Monday to get more clarity aroundthis in the meantime Ken Mirams is storing the equip-ment in his garage for the time being We are going tolook at a storage container as this will give us access atall times
Next week we will have a different speaker as our sched-uled speaker is delayed in WA whomever it is they willbe good as Greg has sourced such excellent speakers forus all year
Tony has the Twilight Golf teed up for the 13th of January2016 so put that in your diaries and book with him if youhavenrsquot already
Christmas is nearly upon us enjoy it with your lovedones
