Today’s Outline
1. Govt. of Pakistan shall designate one or more focal points within government for matter relating to implementation of the CRPD
I. Article 33Internal Monitoring System
2. Civil society, in particular Persons with Disabilities and their representative organizations, shall be involved and participate fully in the monitoring process.
1. Government shall establish a committee on the rights of persons with disabilities
II. Article 34 Committee for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
2. The Committee shall consist of twelve experts
3. Committee should establish the basic human rights, anti discrimination and services law for persons with disabilities.

Before ratification…
1. Leader of Persons with Disability rejected ratification!!!
2. Govt. of Japan established the Committee
for modification of the national law on disability issue
within the Cabinet Office
3. Basic Act for Persons with Disability was revised on 2011
Reform of People with Disabilities Division in Japan
