Atsuch a time, instead of keepingmum those who callthemselves communist shouldstop those who are stealing therice and distribute it those whoneed it. If Dr Nara leads sucha movement and go to prisonfor it, people will definitelygarland him. Saying that oneis a communist, one isconcerned about the people,is reading Marxist literaturewill not result into anything. One has to show that one is acommunist th rough theiractivities, only then people

Manipur Maoist urges for unity and strengtheningmission journalism, patriotic regional forces
will accept the person as aleader. On the other hand, theeditors of news papers are nowthe panelists of thediscussion programs in theelectronic media. They discusson important matters givingthe public knowledge aboutthose matter but they stillcarry advertisement of thegovernment without evenconsidering the parties whichare giv ing theseadvertisements, without eventhinking that the ruling partyis good or bad. The moreadver tisement they get themore money they earn for theirnewspapers. In this context,we can th ink about whypeople are taking 200-300rupees and participating in theelection. The gap betweentheory and practice hasaffected this society badly. Ifone is little educated, onedoes not want to activism, inorder to be called a think tankmany are doing Phd andpublishing books. Intellectualactivism is not just going aschief guest in programs but

People havelost faith in all the nationalparties. Now people do nottrust that India will give us agood future. This is a goodobjective condition for therevolutionary movement. Atthe point, we need to developmission journalism, patrioticregional forces, progressiveintellectual activ ism, anddemocratic social activism andcollectively work together.Maoists are trying to developthe regional forces, in thiscontext. There is noconfusion regarding PRJA.So, there is nothing much totalk about them.Maoists are keeping a closeeye on the matter however theparty will take definitive actiontowards people who swindleparty funds. Furthermore, theremaining regional parties arecentrist and given that they arenot build ing theirorganizations, they are not yetpart of this unity.
