A B O U T M E . P E R S O N A L

As an architect I seek to join a firm that has the capacity to reach and impact positively the city. For me the main thing is to create a constructive change in spaces. What I am seeking to create with this is described by Yoshio Taniguchi in a simple way: “Architecture is basi-cally a container of something. I hope they will enjoy not so much the teacup, but the tea.” To carry out this principle I think we should look for the reconstruction of the city through a physical reality, a space of coexistence and dialogue that favors the notion of neighbor-hood that allows interaction between people and the exterior.Como arquitecta busco unirme a un despacho que cuente con la capacidad y alcance de impactar a la ciudad de manera positiva. Para mí lo primordial es crear un cambio constructivo en los espacios.Esto que busco crear es descrito por Yoshio Taniguchi de manera simple: “La arquitectura es básicamente un contenedor de algo. Espero que los usuarios disfruten no tanto de la taza de té, sino del té.”Para llevar a cabo este principio pienso que debemos buscar la reconstrucción de la ciu-dad por medio de una realidad física, un espacio de convivencia y dialogo que privilegia la noción de barrio que permite la interacción entre habitantes y su exterior.

This project is the result of the work carried out in the period of Fall-Spring 2013-2014 , in the workshop “Cat-edra Blanca”. This proposal should not be less than 5,000 m2, on a land that is in Mexico City and currently for sale, and parting from a specific topic: clinic, LEED offices, recycling or underground. We found the most interesting challenge on the undeground proposal. The challenge that involves developing an underground construction, both structurally and economically, is in finding a land use that represents a lucrative business. Introducing an exploitable location, the problem lies in justifying the “why” of subsoil use to develop a viable proposal that represents an income and solves a social problem as well. The social problem of the area, plus the architectural challenges that emerge from the complexity of the project led us to create a red zone containing: shops, bars and restaurants, a gym, a hotel, a nightclub, and a table dance. Our goal is to create a space in which everyday services converge with other services geared toward an adult target exploiting the qualities that the underground gives us in the most efficient way. The subsoil of the project protects the identity and privacy of the users who will enjoy a tour that fea-tures a functional space with natural ventilation and a direct interface with the outside. Our intention is to create a project to regenerate the area and benefit both the community and the cus-tomer, by conserving an activity that has been part of the history of mankind and is specifically developed in this area of town for a clientele of greater financial resources.This project offers to generate a unique interplay between different users, whether they are families who acces the park on a daily basis or simply a Jane Doe looking for adult entertainment. Our proposal includes several services that meet the needs of a diverse audience, creates a tourist attraction, democratizes and dignifies a business that is despised by many. *For full Catedra Blanca Cemex Priced Thesis see Anex.Este proyecto es el resultado del trabajo desarrollado en el periodo Otoño-Primavera 2013-2014, en el taller de proyectos “Cátedra Blanca”.Esta propuesta debe de ser de no menos de 5,000 m2, en un terreno que se encuentre en la Ciudad de México y que esté actualmente a la venta, a partir de un tema específico: comercio de barrio, oficinas LEED, reciclaje o subterráneo. Para nosotros el proyecto subterráneo nos pareció el reto más interesante.El reto que conlleva elaborar una obra subterránea, tanto en lo estructural como en lo económico, está en encontrar un uso de suelo que represente un negocio lucrativo. Al presentar una ubicación explotable, el problema yace en justificar el “por qué” del uso del subsuelo al elaborar una propuesta viable que represente un ingreso y solucione un problema social a la vez.El problema social de la zona, más los retos arquitectónicos que emergen por la complejidad del proyec-to nos llevaron a crear una zona roja que contiene: comercios, bares y restaurantes, un gimnasio, un hotel, un antro y un table. Nuestro objetivo es generar un espacio en el que converjan servicios cotidianos con otros servicios dirigidos hacia un target adulto explotando las cualidades del subterráneo de la manera más eficiente. El subsuelo del proyecto protege la identidad y privacidad de los usuarios que podrán gozar de un recorrido funcional que cuenta con ventilación natural y una interconexión directa con el exterior.Nuestra intención es crear un proyecto que regenere la zona al beneficiar tanto a la comunidad como al cliente, dándole lugar a una actividad que ha sido parte de la historia de la humanidad y se ha desar-rollado específicamente en esta zona de la ciudad para una clientela de mayores recursos económicos.Este proyecto ofrece generar una interrelación única entre distintos usuarios, ya sean familias que ac- ceden al parque de la manera más cotidiana hasta incógnitos en busca de entretenimiento adulto. Nues-tra propuesta engloba varios servicios que satisfacen las necesidades de un público heterogéneo, genera una atracción turística , democratiza y dignifica un negocio que es despreciado por muchos.*Para Tesis Cátedra Blanca Premiada por CEMEX ver Anexo.

A house on 656 Prado was converted into a children’s center. I was in charge (as an inde-pendent architect) of the graphic and architectural design and construction of the chil-dren’s hairdresser called “La-Pelukeria Prado”. Customers where looking for a childish but elegant image and a french style. Casa en Prado Norte 656 convertida en varios locales para hacer un centro infantil. Yo me encargué (como arquitecta independiente) del dis-eño gráfico, arquitectónico y llevar la obra de la peluqueria infantil llamada “La-Pelukeria de Prado”. Los clientes buscaban una imágen infantil pero elegante y un estilo afrance-sado.
