(If existing, where else has it been shown?) LUMEN MEMORIA is an existing piece that would be ‘reconfigured’ to match the location. It was previously exhibited at at Woodend Mill, Mossley as part of Woodend Artists ‘Rags To Riches’ event. I have a number of artists I collaborate with for installation who would be available to assist. Where would you intend your piece to be presented? (If existing, where else has it been shown?) LUMEN MEMORIA is an existing piece that would be ‘reconfigured’ to match the location. It was previously exhibited at at Woodend Mill, Mossley as part of Woodend Artists ‘Rags To Riches’ event.

How many People would be needed to create this piece(in terms of design, creation, production etc. ) The piece was created by myself and would require one assistant to install. I have a number of artists I collaborate with for installation who would be available to assist.

Where would you intend your piece to be presented?(This can be as specific as you like i.e. in the window of a certain shop, a certain street or square, or simply a description about the requirements you would have for a location) The piece was previously exhibited in a dilapidated mill and suits and responds to the aesthetic of dark, old and timeworn spaces. quality of light enhancing the texture and colours of the walls. The idea of memorial suggests the link to a church or place of worship. The piece is designed to be suspended from above but can be reconfigured to be supported on a frame which would be fabricated in direct response to the location. Please outline, if possible, any major technical requirements you might have The piece would require mains power from at least two sockets – One for the bulbs and one for the control and sound equipment. The control and sound system would require a secure place to be installed if the site is unattended. Please estimate any costs the piece would incur. Feel free to submit this as two different figures, a price for a basic version of the idea, and a price for a higher profile version. (An indication of any revenue that could be generated by the piece would be useful, but is not essential. Please note, funding is currently not yet confirmed)

The piece is already in existence and costs incurred would be for time to reconfigure, install and transport. Reconfigure work 1 day = £250, Installation and removal 2 persons = £500, Transport £150, Total cost = £900.00 Please submit completed forms to Kat Hetherington by Friday 9 April 2010. All ideas will be treated as confidential, and will only be shared with the Illuminating York committee:E [email protected]
