I have tried to reach you by telephone to advise you that the applicants and the appellant (Meg Krehbiel) have reached an agreement to slightly revise the stairs leading from the street up to the proposed lifts. The agreed upon revision is attached. It moves the stairway partially onto Ms. Krehbiel's property (at 40 Hillside) and makes the slope of the stairs less drastic (thereby reducing retaining wall heights). Ms. Krehbiel has consented to the revised plan and agreed to grant an easement for the stairs to be partially located on her property. She will also be allowed to use the stairs (along with owners of 55 and 57 Hillside). I will be appearing at the City Council Meeting on Monday, together with an attorney from Mr. Lowenthal's office (representing the appellant) to ask the City Council to approve the revised plan as part of their action on this appeal. Perhaps the revised plan can become an attachment to the proposed Resolution that is in the packet. I am available for any questions, as is Mr. Lowenthal (representing Ms. Krehbiel).
