UCM 60202U2 ASSESSMENT BRIEF POSTER AND ORAL PRESENTATION Students are required to form pairs of two (2) or a maximum of 3 people in a group. In your respective pair, you are required to present your literature search in a specific presentation format (scientific poster and oral presentation of the poster topic). Each pair is to come up with ONE scientific poster based on a selected literature topic that is relevant to the main theme provided in the next section. However for the oral presentation, it should be presented individually. The assessment marks will be shared by all group members for Poster designing (10%) while the assessment marks will be based on each individual student’s presentation for Oral component (10%). 2. You may present on the aspects of its historical or societal background, structure plan/layout/concept, functions or contributions of the building and any other features that relate to architecture. Below are some ideas on how you can expand the descriptions of the chosen building/architecture:

a. What introduce or provide a brief summary of the buildingb. Why the significant of the building/architecturec. Who the people/society involved; the architect/builder?d. When the time/period setting e. How the functions or use of the building/architecturef. Where location which area/country/civilizationg. Others feel free to include interesting facts/analysis based on your creativity3. Poster format:

a. A3 size

b. Scientific poster format

4. Each poster should include:a. Clear sections (a minimum of three (3) that you want to highlight on your selected topic)

b. Information about the members in the pair: Full Name and Schools Address and Taylors Logo

c. A list of all references i. A minimum of five (5) references

ii. Attached on a separate page after conclusioniii. Provide information of the referred sources:

1. Name of original author/owner/institution/organisation. 2. Date of publication/date of released of information3. Title of the sources4. Website links (if applicable)5. Date of access of information (when referring to websites only)SUBMISSION

Students are required to submit the poster in .png, .jpeg or any other suitable format. (Please remember your document should be able to be opened in multiple devices and doesnt require a download of external or uncommon software to be accessed.)

VISUAL-ORAL PRESENTATION

Assessment: INDIVIDUAL ASSESSMENT (10%)Students are required to record and upload their presentation, with each student allocated 2 - 4 minutes each to cover the required content on the selected sections of the topic. Each group can have a set of shared slides, but the assessment will be on individual basis.The recorded oral presentation can be by group or individual. Uploaded video links and a copy of the slides used should be submitted by 8th May 2015.

Each Presentation should also include:

1. Student Introduction.

2. Concise explanation of the chosen building/architecture.

3. Additional video enhancement (to present the topic in a more creative manner)4. Examples of specific resources and sources used in your information collection activity (different for each person in the pair)

SUBMISSION

Students are required to present the content from a streaming platform (Youtube, Dailymotion, Vimeo,ect). In the recorded visual, students may present the poster, a prepared slide show of the poster content, or any appropriate delivery methods.
