Welcome to St. Louise Parish! · The most current liturgy guidelines will be announced prior to Mass. · Your financial contributions are still needed and welcomed! A collection basket will be passed during Mass.

Here is a QR code if you would prefer to donate online:

Gloria: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory. Lord God, heavenly King. O God, almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father,

you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

Profession of Faith: I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,

he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Holy, Holy: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your glory.

Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

Prayer for Pastoral Planning: Lord Jesus, we give you thanks for your ministry on earth, in which you proclaimed the Kingdom of God and conversion of life. We give you thanks for your passion, death and resurrection by which you manifested the perfect love of God, offering all who believe in you the gift of eternal life. We thank you for your promise to remain with us always as we faithfully carry out your mission.

As members of your Mystical Body, the Church, we come to you seeking the gift and guidance of your Holy Spirit.

Help us to become who you call us to be and to accomplish all you ask of us according to the will of the Father.

Grant us the grace of knowing you, loving you and serving you in all our brothers and sisters. Grant that our faith in you may permeate every aspect of our lives. Help us to shed all worldly ways that we may live the Gospel with truth and integrity. Grant that we may be more perfectly conformed to you and live as your witnesses in the world today. Amen.

Mother of the New Evangelization, pray for us!

¡Bienvenidos a la parroquia de Sta. Luisa!

Credo: Creo en un solo Dios, Padre todopoderoso, Creador del cielo y de la tierra, de todo lo visible y lo invisible. Creo en un solo Señor, Jesucristo, Hijo único de Dios, nacido del Padre antes de todos los siglos: Dios de Dios, Luz de Luz, Dios verdadero de Dios verdadero, engendrado, no creado, de la misma naturaleza del Padre, por quien todo fue hecho; que por nosotros, los hombres, y por nuestra salvación bajó del cielo, y por obra del Espíritu Santo se encarnó de María, la Virgen, y se hizo hombre; y por nuestra causa fue crucificado en tiempos de Poncio Pilato;

Merry Christmas, Everyone! No matter who you are – if you’re a college student home for the holidays, if you’re a young adult here with your family, if you’re just visiting from out of town, if you’re local but you’re here just because it’s Christmas, if you come almost every Sunday, if you used to come almost every Sunday and this is your first time back since the pandemic – whoever you are, you are WELCOME! Truly Christmas would not be the same without you, and we are glad that you’re here. And the community of St. Louise is not the only one who wants to offer you a welcome. Pope Francis wants to not only say Welcome and Merry Christmas, he is also saying to everyone, current Catholic and former Catholic, active church-goer and non-active, You are important and I want to hear your voice. Pope Francis is calling for a world-wide process called a synod (that word comes from two Greek words that mean “to walk together”). The journey together begins with Encounter: praying with the Scriptures, asking Jesus to come to us. It continues with Listening – not so much listening to respond to what is said, but listening to understand what people are saying. The journey then moves to Discernment, asking the Holy Spirit to guide all of us, from the Pope to the youngest person, into how we are called to live as Church. As much as anything, the synod is meant to teach us how to walk together in the Lord. If you would like to learn more about how the synod process is happening in the Archdiocese of Seattle, go to httpps://archseattle.org/synod. There you will be able to hear a message from Archbishop Etienne. You can also go to our parish website: www.stlouise.org. Here at St. Louise our synod listening sessions will happen between January and February. If you would like to participate, the dates and times for the listening sessions will be published in the bulletin and on our parish website. Sign up for one of these sessions online (contact the Parish Office if you’d like assistance with signing up). Your thoughts and comments are welcomed! Even if you are not able to participate, I invite you to pray for the success of the synod, that the Holy Spirit will guide us. With gratitude, Fr. Gary Zender Pastor

Activities and Events

Pope Francis is asking us to collaborate with the Holy Spirit to tell him about our journey as disciples at St. Louise. and how our journey together could be improved in the future. What is a synod? In Church terminology, the word “synod” means

a meeting of the faithful to discuss the doctrinal and pastoral needs of the Church. It comes from the Greek word that means “meeting,” but its roots have the connotation of going along the path or way with one another. The purpose of the Synod is pri-marily about listening. First, listening to the Holy Spirit. Sec-ond, listening to one another. Our Listening Sessions at St. Louise will begin on January 9

after the 5PM Mass. There will be a variety of dates and times to choose from. Please register on our parish website to attend. Pope Francis is counting on the Holy Spirit and us to develop innovative ideas to re-energize the Church and help us become better disciples. Let’s do all we can to actively participate. Thank you and may the blessings of the Holy Spirit enliven us.
