Thank You Victoria Sevdayan! Many thanks to Victoria Sevdayan
who has served as the Children’s Choir Director for several years
and has decided to give up her position here at our Parish.
Victoria has worked tirelessly with our children in training them
to worship our Lord in song and praise. We will miss her enthusiasm
and passion for music! We are currently looking for a new director
to lead our Children’s Choir. The position requires experience
working with children, piano skills, knowledge of liturgical music
and enthusiasm. The choir sings twice a month at the 11:30 AM Mass
and is currently rehearsing on Sunday mornings except during July

Faith Formation Registrations are now available! It’s that time
of the year to register your children for the Faith Formation
2017/2018 year. You can pick up a form in the Parish Office or on
the parish website! To ensure your preferred time and day, we ask
that register early! If you have any questions, please contact the
Faith Formation Office at 714-842-3000 ext. 24.
We are excited! Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
is growing! Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is growing faster
than we can get volunteers trained. We need more volunteers to
become certified teachers or helpers. We host training at the
Parish, ONE Saturday each month. Please prayerfully consider
sharing your faith. We do not want to turn away families because of
lack of volunteers. Please contact the Faith Formation Office for
information at 714-842-3000 ext. 24.

Vespers (Evening Prayer) and Benediction Every Monday—6:30
PM
Join other parishioners as we follow Jesus’ command to “pray
without ceasing”. Music is meditative and prayerful. The service
begins at 6:30 PM and ends at 6:55 PM. If you have a meeting at
7:00, this would be a great way to begin.

Ministry Opportunity Answer the call to discipleship by training
to serve communion as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion
(EM). EMs serve communion at mass or take communion to the sick in
nursing homes or private homes; you decide which area to serve.
Requirements to serve include: 25 years old, confirmed and if
married, married through the Catholic Church. Training will be
offered on Monday, July 24 at 7 pm in the Church. Register online
or at the training session. Questions, contact Mary Kay Lamarre at

What is RCIA and who is it for? The Rite of Christian Initiation
of Adults (RCIA) is a process whereby new members join the Catholic
Church, designed specifically for the following: 1. For adults who
have never been baptized and who
want to inquire about the Catholic faith. 2. For adults who have
been baptized into another
Christian tradition (Lutheran, Presbyterian, Baptist, etc.) who
want to inquire about the Catholic faith.
3. For baptized Catholic adults who have not completed the
Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation and need more
faith formation.
If you fit into any of these categories or have a friend or
relative who does, please contact Elsa Lusk at the parish office:
714-842-3000 x12 or send an email at [email protected]. The RCIA
process of becoming Catholic meets on Wednesday nights from 7 PM to
8 PM in Meeting Room C. You can enter at any time during the year.
All those interested in becoming Catholic who are not baptized must
experience a full year in our church community; therefore, it is
good to enter the journey as soon as possible. If you are a
baptized Catholic and you only need the Sacrament of Confirmation,
you may join the Adult Confirmation process which meets twice a
month on Sunday mornings beginning in the Fall. For more

for Adult Sacraments are available
We are accepting registrations for adults who are over 19 years
old and would like to receive the sacraments of Confirmation and
First Holy Communion. Sessions will begin in the Fall of 2017. Come

ADULT CATECHISM AN OPPORTUNITY to deepen your knowledge
during the year of Our Lady of Fatima Wednesdays 9:30 AM
Catholics have been asked to study and reflect on the documents
of Vatican II and the Catechism so that they may rediscover and
renew their relationship with Christ and his Church. One way to do
this is by joining the Adult Catechism group on Wednesdays from
9:30 AM-10:30 AM in Room 1 as we read and discuss the Catechism of
