PARISH COUNCIL SUMMARY/RESUMEN CONSEJO PARROQUIAL Liturgy Committee met Tuesday, Jan. 31. Padre opened with a prayer. Lent and Holy Week were discussed and dates and times will be in the bulletin. SHROVE TUESDAY: St. Bernadette will celebrate Mardi Gras starting at 6:00 PM on Feb. 28th. Parishioners are asked to bring a dish or snacks to be shared. There will also be Karoke. FRIDAY STATIONS OF THE CROSS: Depending on interest there will be a soup supper on Fri-days during Lent at 6:00 PM followed by Stations of the Cross. SATURDAY MASS DURING LENT: Stations of the Cross will be read by the Lector 20 minutes before the 5:00 Mass. LENTEN PENANCE SERVICE: Will be held on March 13

th at 6:30 PM. CONFIRMATION: Will be held at St. Bernadette’s on Saturday, April 22

10:00 to 12: 00. We have 25 young people being confirmed. Meeting adjourned with a closing prayer. The next Liturgy Meeting will be held April 24. BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING/REUNIÓN DEL COMITÉ DE CONSTRUCCIÓN Highlights from our meeting on January 30 are as follows: The deck project should be completed with the next volunteer work days 10-12 Feb. Completion of the deck project will include installation of siding to visually match the siding on the original Church building at an estimated cost of $4244. We discussed options for an alarm/securing system, favoring a video camera system at an estimated total cost of $500. A French drain sys-tem was installed as part of the project to address water in the crawlspace. The materials cost was ~$4,500. The repairs/improvements to the landscape in and around the play area are under discussion with Padre and selected volunteers. The Building Committee voted in favor to recommend that the Finance Council allocate $9,500 from the Building Fund to finance Deck Project/Siding, French Drain and Video Camera Securi-ty System. Our Next Meeting is March 27 7-8PM.
