The agenda for this year
p:IGI+ demo
•what we have done this year
p:IGI+ hands on workshops / tutorials
• the IGI data model: importing and organising your project data
•using the new graph types effectively and an introduction to the new autographs
•using statistics and background data

Future plans
Progress of p:IGI+
You saw an early demo version at the User Group 2014
•had the core ideas
•but a bit fragile and limited in function
User Group 2015
•focussed on improving the import, spreadsheet and infrastructure
•improved performance in some areas
•designed to elicit feedback, and move p:IGI+ closer to a finished product
•new version was released in November 2015
User Group 2016
•more features: import, export, project data overview, more graphs, more graph functions, better maps
•more robust: can undo every significant change, delete wells, equations evaluated on import and merge
•more complete data model: new analyses, properties and equations, add your own properties
•new version released in July 2016, updated November 2016 and April 2017
What you asked for last year
Complete ternary (tri-) plots, including overlays Sample bucket Line plots and spider graphs (parallel coordinate plot) Statistics Improved property search Background data (prototype) Multi-depth plots (one property, multiple wells on one plot) • PCA • LAS file support (was important in one group) Any molecular indicator • Windows management (one group) • Graph styling (one group) Vector copy of graphs (prototype) Import of well manager files • Multiple sample sets from one • Enhanced mapping
p:IGI+ headlines I
• Statistics – new statistics artefact, interaction with all other aspects of the system
• Import – better auto-linking, even clearer User Interaction, enhanced linking
templates, bulk change – can have Excel file open at the same time – can have help open at the same time (all the time)
• Artefact manager – new statistics, parallel coordinate plot and static sample set artefacts
• Performance and interaction – harmonise command enhanced and added support for the all properties
• Wells – import well manager files – hierarchy of lithostrat layers
p:IGI+ headlines II
• Graphs – triplot overlays and zoom – updated autographs – parallel coordinate plots – single panel multi-depth plot – background data – histogram zoom to data – vector output
• Property model – significant enhancements to the property model: XRF, XRD, PyGC, HTGC, MudGas – fixed issues with the order of Any analyses, added the ‘any’ [*] indicator – improved property searching across the system
• Maps – added support for importing and showing shapefiles
• Static sample sets – enhanced ‘sample bucket’, with ability to edit
Workflows supported by p:IGI+
• We are aiming to support an increasing number of key Petroleum Systems Analysis workflows in p:IGI+ – the user group version supports a basic data exploration
workflow typically undertaken prior to basin modelling (including MD->TVD and calibration data export)
– subsequent versions will support: • advanced well exploration (multi-depth plots+, LAS support,
regression) • oil-oil and oil-source characterisation (spider plots, line plots,
PCA, clustering, classification) • regional studies (multi-depth plots+, improved mapping, PCA,
clustering, regression)
• Our future release plans will be shown at the end of the user group
