Software is packaged to common IG-Volvo-1.5.iwe package that contains firmware and archive of IG-Volvo branch. To unpack iwe start WinEdit – Options – Import firmware. In Import firmware window click on the Open button and select the path to firmware. Then select click on the Import button and all files will be copied to WinEdit directory. InteliGen software - branch Volvo is based on standard InteliGen V6.0 software and contains following additional functions:

• Direct connection to J1939 link on EDCIII/EMSII engine controller • Enables share Engine subsystem information with InteliGen • Enables Engine subsystem diagnostics by InteliGen user interface

Hardware package The same as for standard IG-CU, no additional HW needed.

New logical outputs VlvComm OK Opened if communication with EDCIII is broken. Connect this output to pin 6 on the EDCIII 8-pole connector to stop the engine in case of broken communication line. VlvComm Error Closed if communication with EMSII is broken. Connect this output to pin 6 on the EMSII 8-pole connector to stop the engine in case of broken communication line. ECU PwrRelay Closes at the beginning of Prestart and opens when the engine is going to be stopped. Connect this output to EDC/EMS Deutsch connector pin 5. When the output is configured and opened the error of communication is not issued and FLS alarms from analog inputs from ECU are not displayed in the Alarm list. Stop pulse Output is closed for 1 second after Stop solenoid output activation. This signal is sent to ECU in case of engine stop request.

Setpoint group - EDC Params ECU FreqSelect [ PRIMARY / SECONDARY ] Primary or secondary engine speed is set by Frequency select bits in VP Status frame. Frequency change for Volvo Penta engines with EMS2 This description refers to the Volvo Penta Application bulletin 30-0-003. The procedure for changing engine speed on the D9 and D16 engines is different from the D12 engine. There is no system reset on the EMS2 unit; therefore the procedure is changed. Procedure if ECU not energized: 1. Switch the IL controller to MAN mode. 2. Power up the ECU. 3. Change the setpoint ECU FreqSelect and confirm it by pressing Enter 4. Press the Stop button on the IL controller. The whole procedure (step 2 to 4) must not exceed 10 seconds. Procedure with ECU powered on:

1. Switch the IL controller to MAN mode. 2. Press the Stop button on the IL controller. 3. Change the setpoint ECU FreqSelect and confirm it by pressing Enter 4. Press the Stop button on the IL controller.

The whole procedure (step 2 to 4) must not exceed 10 seconds. WaterTemp Lev1 [°C] Warning level for Coolant temperature. Default value is 98°C. Step: 1 °C Range: 0 – 120 WaterTemp Lev2 [°C] Shut down level for Coolant temperature. Default value is 100°C. Step: 1 °C Range: 0 – 120 Oil Temp Lev1 [°C] Warning level for Engine oil temperature. Default value is 125°C. Step: 1 °C Range: 0 – 190 Oil Temp Lev2 [°C] Shut down level for Engine oil temperature. Default value is 127°C. Step: 1 °C Range: 0 – 190 Oil Press Lev1 [Bar] Warning level for Engine oil pressure. Default value is 0.7 Bar. Step: 0,1 Bar Range: 0,0 – 6,0 Oil Press Lev2 [Bar] Shut down level for Engine oil pressure. Default value is 0.3 Bar. Step: 0,1 Bar Range: 0,0 – 6,0
