About IEEE India Council

It is the umbrella organisa�on which coordinates IEEE ac�vi�es in India. Its primary aim is to assist and coordinate the ac�vi�es of local “Sec�ons”, in order to benefit mutually, and avoid duplica�on of effort and resources. IEEE India Council was established on 20th May 1976 and is one of the five councils in the Asia Pacific Region (Region 10 of IEEE). India Council has 11 sec�ons, 10 sub-sec�ons, around 860 student branches resul�ng into over 50 thousand IEEE members. We organize 170+ IEEE conferences annually in India of which 75% are technically co-sponsored and remaining are fully sponsored conferences. About IEEE Gujarat Section

IEEE Gujarat Sec�on came into existence on 15th August 1990 as a small sec�on. It grew in size and crossed a membership figure of 500 in 2006 and 1000 in 2012. Currently we have over 1300 members including 2 Fellows, 51 Senior Members, 387 Professional Members, and 900 Student Members. We are one of 11 sec�ons of India which is part of IEEE Region 10 (Asia-Pacific). We have 25 student branches opera�onal in various college campuses of Gujarat, 9 chapters of 13 of IEEE Socie�es. We have 5 Women in Engineering (WIE) affinity groups and 1 special interest group of Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT). We organize technical events, seminars, workshops, conferences, tutorials on cu�ng-edge technologies for the academia and industry professionals. About INDICON

INDICON is the flagship Annual Interna�onal Conference of the IEEE India Council. It has its origins in the Annual Conven�on and Exhibi�on (ACE), which transformed into INDICON in 2004 which was held at IIT Kharagpur. Each of the IEEE Sec�ons of India has been conduc�ng INDICON in turns, with the last (2018) organized by the IEEE Madras Sec�on at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.INDICON 2019 is 16th in this series. It is organised by the IEEE Gujarat Sec�on from 13-15 December, 2019 at Marwadi University, Rajkot. It will have plenary talks, keynote address by reputed academicians, tutorial & workshops by domain experts, research paper presenta�ons, poster presenta�on, student Paper contest, events for Women in Engineering and Young Professionals, the session on entrepreneurship and innova�on.

Contract: This applica�on, properly executed by applicant (exhibitor) shall upon wri�en acceptance and no�fica�on of booths assigned by INDICON 2019 management cons�tute a valid and binding contract.

Assignment of Space: Assignment of space to exhibitors and those making applica�on will be made in the order of date and �me received. INDICON 2019 will con�nue to receive applica�ons and assign exhibit space, as it remains available, un�l shortly before the show opening date. In all cases, total booth payments must be received prior to show opening. INDICON 2019 assignment of booths is final and shall cons�tute an acceptance of the exhibitor's offer to occupy space. A�er assignment, space loca�on may not be changed, transferred or cancelled by the exhibitor except upon wri�en request and with the subsequent wri�en approval of INDICON 2019 management. INDICON 2019 management reserves the right to reassign exhibitor space in order to modify floor plan for overall benefit of the show.

Subletting Space: No exhibitor will assign, sublet, or appor�on the whole or any part of the space allo�ed to him, nor exhibit therein, nor permit any other person or party to exhibit therein, any other goods, apparatus, etc. not manufactured or distributed by the exhibitor in the regular course of his business except upon prior wri�en consent of INDICON 2019 management.

Exhibit Space Rental Rates: Exhibit space rental includes materials and services described herein.

Payment Requirements and Cancellation Charges: Applica�ons require full payment before booths are assigned. Payment in full is required with submission of contract applica�on or on the date indicated on the invoice. All cancella�ons must be made in wri�ng and will be based on the following Schedule of refunds:A�er August 5, 2019 but before October 8, 2019: Refund of 50% of the total license fee for cancella�on on or a�er October 8, 2019: No refund or credit at any �me.

Exhibit Booth Manning and Dismantling Schedule: A representa�ve must occupy or oversee exhibit space during all �mes when exhibi�on is officially open. Exhibit space must be maintained in a neat and orderly manner throughout the exhibi�on. Exhibitors may begin dismantling only a�er hours stated in exhibitor service manual. Exhibitors are responsible for removal of all materials used in their display. Any exhibitor leaving materials a�er hours stated in exhibitor service manual will be charged for the materials' removal.

Losses or Damage: Exhibitor agrees that INDICON 2019 shall not be liable for any damage or liability of any kind or for any loss, damage or injury to persons or property during the term of this agreement, from any cause whatsoever by reason of use, occupa�on and enjoyment of exhibit space by exhibitor or any person thereon with the consent of exhibitor, and that exhibitor will defend, indemnify and save harmless, INDICON 2019 from all liability whatsoever, on account of any such damage, or injury, whether or not caused by negligence of or breach of an obliga�on by exhibitor or its employees or representa�ves. Exhibitor will be liable for all damages, or liability of any kind or for any loss, damage or injury to persons or any property during the show from any cause whatsoever by reason of use, occupa�on and enjoyment of exhibit space.

Demonstrations: No demonstra�ons or solicita�ons shall be permi�ed outside of the exhibitor's assigned space, and no signs or placards may be displayed on persons or otherwise outside exhibit spaces.

Compliance: The exhibitor assumes all responsibility for compliance with all per�nent ordinances, regula�ons and codes of duly authorized local, state and federal governing bodies concerning fire, safety and health, together with the rules and regula�ons of the operators and/or owners of the property wherein the show is held.

Policy: It is further agreed that the exhibitor will abide by and comply with rules and regula�ons concerning local customs that may apply, having agreements with the show Facility or with authorized contractors employed by 2019.INDICON

Management: The exhibitor further agrees that the condi�ons, rules and regula�ons of the INDICON 2019 management are made a part of this contract and that said exhibitor agrees to be bound by each and all of these rules and regula�ons, and that the management shall have the full power to interpret, amend and enforce all rules and regula�ons in the best interest of the show.

Alteration of Booth Space: INDICON 2019 management shall be en�tled to alter the layout if, in their opinion, this is in the general interest of the exhibi�on.

It is understood that 2019 reserves the right, at its op�on, to reassign a cancelled booth INDICONregardless of the cancella�on rate assessed. In the event that the premises in which the INDICON2019 show is conducted shall become, in the sole discre�on of 2019, unfit for occupancy, or INDICONsubstan�ally interfered with by reason of any cause or causes not reasonably within the control of INDICON INDICON 2019, this agreement may be terminated by 2019. For this purpose, the term “cause or causes” shall include, but not by way of limita�on, fire, flood, epidemic, earthquake, explosion or accident, blockage, embargo, inclement weather, governmental restraints, restraints or orders of civil defence, or military authori�es, act of public enemy, riot or civil disturbance, strike, lockout, boyco� or other labour disturbance, inability to secure sufficient labour, technical, or other personnel, failure, impairment or lack of adequate transporta�on facili�es, inability to obtain, or condemna�on, requisi�on or commandeering of necessary supplies or equipment, local, state or federal law, ordinance, rule, order, decree or regula�on, whether legisla�ve, equipment, local, state or federal law, ordinance, rule, order, decree or regula�on, execu�ve, or judicial, and whether cons�tu�onal, or act of god. Should 2019 terminate this agreement pursuant to the INDICONprovision of this paragraph the exhibitor waives any and all claims for damages and agrees that INDICON INDICON 2019 may, a�er compu�ng the total amount of 2019 cost and expenses in connec�on with its prepara�on for and conduc�ng of the 2019 event, (including a INDICONreasonable reserve for claims and other con�ngencies), refund to the exhibitor, as and for complete se�lement and discharge of all said exhibitor's claims and demands, an amount which bears the same rela�onship to the fee paid by said exhibitor as the total refundable amount as computed above bears to the total amount of fees paid by all exhibitors.
