A service-oriented architecture (SOA)starts and ends with a company’s busi-ness processes. Enterprises can onlyadapt quickly to new marketrequirements if their businessprocesses are properly modeled andthen translated into technical servicesin a structured fashion. ARIS SOAArchitect enables users to design anSOA based on the businessprocesses deployed in the variousdepartments. The Service Browserin ARIS SOA Architect makes it easyto identify services for automatingbusiness activities. Because servicesare linked to business activities in theARIS process model, executable BPELprocesses can be generatedautomatically. After the BPELprocesses have been exported, theycan be implemented and executed onplatforms, such as, Oracle ProcessMana-ger, IBM WebSphere, BEAWebLogic, and SAP XI. Combiningthe business and systems layers of anSOA in ARIS revealsinterdependencies and allowsinformed intervention. One mouse-click shows which service is used inwhich processes. Thus, if a servicefails, there is a way to find out fastwhich business process is impactedand who needs to be informed withregard to the commercial and IT res-ponsibility. An SOA therefore ends asit begins—by supporting businessprocesses.

Ifcustomers cancel within 14 calendardays before the start of the course,they must pay the course fee in full.However, customers may thenparticipate in the course within aperiod specified by IDS Scheer with-out further payment.

Cancellation of courseIf the training course is canceled dueto trainer illness, force majeure, orother circumstances or events beyondthe control of the organizer, customerscannot assert any claim regarding theperformance of the event. In suchcases, the organizer shall not be res-ponsible for the reimbursement oftravel or accommodation costs, orother consequent losses.
