Don’t ask for a favor, give first• Share their content• Tweet / post their links• Leave comments on their blog• Leave messages on FB/G+
pages and LinkedIn• Research whether they allow
guest posts and submit something
• Start social media conversations so that they start to wonder who you are
• Excerpting their content on your blog– Pointing out explicity to the
influencer about doing it• Ask their permission to use
their content– Remind that you will link back
(adds support / respect)– Remind them that comments
on your site end up outside their blog (but when a new comment arrives, let them know)
