Psychoonkologie „Das Erstgespräch und die weitere Begleitung“

Topic:

- Das strukturierte Erstgespräch in 5 Schritten

- Beschwerden des Patienten – Empathie mit Maß und Ziel

- Die Belastung von Patient und Therapeut

- Bewältigungsstrategien

Das Gespräch spielt eine entscheidende Rolle in der Begleitung Krebskranker – in allen Phasen der

Erkrankung. Gegenstand dieser Gespräche sind die Belastungen des Patienten und dessen ganz

persönliche Art, mit diesen umzugehen. Wie schafft ich als behandelnder Kliniker/Therapeut die

Basis für eine vertrauensvolle, hilfreiche Beziehung – und einem hierdurch gekennzeichneten

begleitenden Dialog?

Im ersten Teil des Workshops soll ein stark strukturiertes Modell für solch ein Gespräch vorgestellt

werden, zusammen mit einem kurzen Ausflug in die Logik der Gefühle, Betrachtungen über den

Begriff der Empathie, wie auch der typischen Bewältigungsstrategien, die wir bei unseren Patienten

beobachten können. Nach der Pause werde konkrete Beispiele vorgestellt - auch aus der Arbeit der

Teilnehmer - mit Gelegenheit zur Diskussion.

ICRCC Abstract Award 2014

We are happy to inform you that for the upcoming ICRCC Meeting an Abstract Award will be given.

The award will be given for the best abstract. All abstracts will be reviewed by an expert committee,

the best abstract will be chosen after the presentation (poster and short oral) at the symposium.

The presentation is scheduled for Thursday, October 9th, 2014.

The award includes an official confirmation and a financial support of € 250,--

for the corresponding author/group.

Note:

Deadline for Abstract submission: August 31th, 2014

Abstracts and posters have to be submitted in English. Other languages are not permitted.

All participants are invited to submit abstracts for poster presentation. An abstract review committee will undergo all abstracts and may chose special interesting abstracts for a short oral presentation (5 min).

Topic for abstracts: Abstracts about the following categories will be considered for presentation:

Basic cancer research

Clinical cancer research

Surgery

Multimodal treatment

Clinical trials

Abstract specifications Abstracts should meet all specifications below:

Languague: English

Maximum word count abstract title: 25 words

Maximum word count abstract text (excluding authors' names and affiliations): 300 words (tables and figures are not accepted)

Do not use trademarks in abstract title; trademarks may be mentioned between brackets in the abstract text the first time reference is made to the product

Provide affilliations for all authors

Provide at least two specific keywords for indexing in meeting publications

Additional conditions The organizers reserve the right to correct spelling and/or grammatical errors and to adjust the lay-out of tables/figures without the authors' consent. All submitted abstracts will undergo expert review and will be scheduled / rejected based upon ratings by multiple reviewers per abstract. Rejected abstracts will not be published. Notifications of abstract scheduling/rejection will be sent to submitting authors until September 13th, 2014. Without registration and payment of the participant, the final acceptance of the abstract cannot be given. After abstract acceptance, each registrant will be informed about details for poster size and poster presentation time. Submitted abstracts may be modified or withdrawn until September 22nd at the latest. Abstracts withdrawn before or on this date will not be scheduled for presentation and will not be published. For abstract modifications, contact the ICRCC-Secretariat. Accepted abstracts will not be released in any form before October 11th, 2014. The abstract’s first and presenting author who, without notice, is absent during the ICRCC- session when his/her abstract is to be presented, will be barred out of the review process for the ICRCC 2014-Abstract Award.

Publications

Accepted abstracts will be handed out (electronically, or published in a book of abstracts) to ICRCC 2014- delegates and will be made publicly available online during or shortly after the ICRCC 2014-symposium. The organizing committee is planning to publish the abstracts as booklet at the webpage of ICRCC: www.ICRCC.de after ICRCC 2014. Each registrant sending an abstract accepts this procedure. Abstracts will not be released prior to October 11th, 2014.

After that date, no further refunds will be issued. Should participants have any special requests with regard to invoicing, they should kindly let us know when submitting the registration form. All invoices will be given to participants after arrival at the registration desk of the Symposium. If the Symposium is cancelled for whatever reason, fees paid will be refunded. Further recourse is excluded.
