Milliron Joins Distinguished Educators, lndust,y Leaders and State Governors as WGU Expands

DENVER, CO (MARKET WIRE) ·10/19/2004 - Today at the EDUCAUSE conference, SAS, the leader in business intelligence, announced that Dr Mark David Milliron, executive director of the SAS Education Practice, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for Western Governors University Western Governors University is a nonprofit university founded by the governors of 19 western states to help busy adults fit college into their lives.

Milliron joined SAS as executive director of the Education Practice on Oct. 1 Prior to joining SAS, Milliron spent eight years with the League for Innovation , where he served as its vice president and chief operating officer He left the League for a stint as the executive director of Global Leam ing Initiatives at Oracle, but he returned to become the League's CEO in 1999. Milliron also served as vice president of academic and student affairs at Mayland Community College in North Carolina . He is a well-known author, speaker and teacher in the education world . He is best known for his work exploring educational trends and the human side of technology change .
