HYDROPHORE SET (unmanned and fully automated)
WATER SUPPLY MADE SIMPLE. is is what a Mectron supplied
HydrophoreSystem will do or your vessel. The Mectrons Intelligent
series oHydrophore will ensure that you have water at suicient
amount andpressure at all times or your potable and sanitary water
usage. It can alsoserve as a fre pump jockey system.
Each unit is pre-wired, actory set and tested beore delivery.
ereore the end user onlyrequires to perorm 3 simple steps o Plug,
Connect and Operate. ey will only need to plugin the power supply,
connect the inlet/outlet pipes & air supply and the unit will
be ready oroperation.
e Intelligent series o Hydrophore come in 3 ranges: Compact
Standard Customised
e Compact range o the hydrophore is designed or supply vessels
like the AHTS (AnchorHandling Tug Supply) with limited space in
mind. e pressure tank not only provides thestorage space but the
pumps and control are mounted on the side o the pressure tank
toreduce the oot print required.
e Standard range o hydrophore will be suitable or most vessels.
e pressure tank, pumps,control and piping appurtenances are mounted
on a structural skid which is grit blasted and
epoxy painted or marine application. e structural skid will
allow easeo liting o the system during installation.
e Customised range o hydrophore is specially engineered
systemtailored to yards and owners special requirement like low
operatingtemperature units, redundant pressure vessel, health
authority grading otanks, example NIPH (Norwegian Institute o
Public Health)
Each Mectrons Intelligent series o Hydrophore is equipped with
anadequately sized stainless steel pressure tank that is built in
accordancewith ASME section VIII Div.1. ASME U stamp and Class
approved pressurevessels are available upon request.
e Intelligent series o Hydrophore will be equipped with two
units osel priming centriugal pumps in a duty and standby
confguration toallow or sufcient redundancy. e System Controller
with its in-builtlogic and with a pair o pressure controllers will
ensure that the dutypumps operation will maintain the system
pressure and delivery capacityat all times.
In instances when the water demand is higher than the normal
consumption, the system willalso start the standby pump
automatically to cater or this extra demand eortlessly.
e expansion and contraction o the air pocket inside the pressure
vessel works as an air cushionin synchronization with the pumps and
controllers. e minimum starting and stopping o thepumps ensure the
system water pressure is maintained without erratic pressures
surges.
Saety is an important aspect to the Intelligent Hydrophore. e
systems pressure vessel isdesigned with a actory set pressure relie
valve and sel closing level gauge in case o anaccidental breakage o
the sight glass. e in-built control logic will not allow the pumps
toover pressure the tank even when system is operating manually. e
electrical wiring are oClass approved fre retardant cables and are
mounted on heavy duty galvanized cable tray.
e hydrophore system piping is constructed rom high strength hot
galvanized pipingor stainless steel piping. e valves and piping
appurtenances are made rom high qualitybronze. e piping is actory
ftted and tested or leakage prior to delivery to ensure the
systemintegrity is not compromised.
