HUNTER Living in Squamish, I grew up mountain biking with my brothers. I was a member of Team Squamish as well as a member of the Cycling BC High Performance XC Team where I competed Provincially and Nationally. I’ve had some amazing coaches and mentors and hope to give back by offering the same level of passion, encouragement and enthusiasm for this awesome sport. I love doing the SORCA rides and just enjoy having fun on my bike with my brothers and friends. I also love the fact I can just head out my front door and be right on the best mountain bike trails that Squamish has to offer. My favourite trail right now Is Entrails, but it changes almost every week. I once had the privilege to compete in the highly coveted and exciting sport of speed walking at the BC Summer Games. I came 4th!

I have been an outdoor educator for the past 6 years and have experience as a biking, rock climbing, canoeing, whitewater kayaking, and skiing guide. I love biking because it takes me to beautiful places and allows me to challenge myself every step along the way. Mountain bike coaching allows me to share my enthusiasm for the outdoors with youth and watching kids progress at biking is extremely rewarding. A fun fact about me: I am from Austria where I learned to bike when I was 3.

I’m Amanda, I’ve been riding for 3 years and I absolutely love it! Mountain biking provides a challenge everytime I ride and there is always something new to conquer. A fun fact about me is that I own a sphynx (a hairless cat).

Born and raised in Squamish BC, I have lived and breathed mountain sports, especially biking, for as long as I can remember. I have been obsessed with BMX since I was five—my parents used to have to drag me inside for dinner and I would still go practice starts in the garage until bed. These days, not much has changed—I live for racing and my day to day is structured around this goal and riding as much as possible. Now that I am a bit older, however, I understand that creating balance is critical so I also enjoy free skiing, soccer, arts, travel and spending time with family and friends. Every day the sun comes up is a great opportunity to get out, enjoy the outdoors, face new challenges, and have as much fun as I can doing the things I love.

My name is Jessie McAuley, and I currently live in Squamish. I have several years of leadership roles under my belt. From coaching gymnastics, youth bike camps and two years in the high school Outdoor Leadership program I have become knowledgeable with group dynamics and working with children. I have raced nationally and internationally with enduro and downhill mountain biking for nearly seven years on several fully supported teams. I love mountain biking because it has always been a great way for me to escape everyday life and adventure into the unknown. I have always enjoyed being able to leave my front door in Squamish and head out to have an eight hour adventure then end up back at my front door for dinner time. I have had many coaches during my racing career and have learned that as a coach you can truly inspire kids to chase their dreams. I approach everyday with the goal to make sure that I have helped at least one child conquer a challenge or reach a personal goal. I aspire to be like many of the coaches I had who kept me happy, excited, determined and always went out of their way to help me succeed!

I love to ride because it helps to build self-confidence, courage and strengthens my relationship with the natural environment. I have a diploma in Outdoor Recreation Management and Wilderness Leadership from Capilano University. I have many years’ experience in the industry having run summer camps, outdoor school, snowshoe, hiking and kayak guiding as well as tour bus driving! Fun Fact: I also play the Ukulele!

I am a Recreation Program Specialist with the District of Squamish and super excited to be a part of the Squamish Bike Camps! I have been working in recreation and mountain biking for over 15 years and am a Level 1 PMBI certified instructor. In that time, I have coached/led various activities across age groups. I love the freedom and ability that mountain biking gives you to explore beautiful surroundings, I love the physical and mental challenge as well as the reward! Biking has taken me to many beautiful locations, introduced me to wonderful people and given me so many awesome experiences and memories! I love sharing my passion for riding with youth because I want them to have the opportunity to establish a positive connection with biking so that they too can benefit throughout their life from this amazing activity that is SO FUN! A funny little experience I’ve had is that while riding in Vietnam, I had a close call with a water buffalo! YIKES!

I believe that the world will be a better place if more people ride bicycles. I have taught physical education and instructed biking for over a decade. Through the years I have been fortunate to coach with Dirt Series, organize all-school bike rodeos for thousands of primary-aged students, teach bike units during PE, lead all-female and college bike courses in the Colorado desert, coach for Colorado-based VIDA MTB, and launch the first chapter of Little Bellas in Utah. Nothing brings me more joy than riding bicycles, well, except perhaps a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie. When I ride my bike time stands still and I feel more alive. I absolutely love this sport because it demands risk-taking, necessitates positive self-talk, and relentlessly challenges me physically and mentally. I am so grateful to this sport for surrounding me with the best people on earth, unforgettable adventures to far off lands, laughter, and SO.MUCH. FUN. My goal while coaching youth mountain biking is for them to find their superpowers within and have SO.MUCH.FUN that they become lifelong riders. Coaching biking allows me to give back to the sport that has given me so much by paying it forward.

Hi I’m Ryder Bulfone, (otherwise known as Flow Ryder) I love to bike! Squamish is home but I get around to bike all over the corridor. My favourite trails are Treasure Trail and Hanging Gardens. I participate in all disciplines of Mountain Biking but focus on Enduro riding for fun. I look forward to passing on my passion for this wonderful sport!

I have been actively involved in; soccer, skiing and biking since I was 3 years old. I love the outdoors, especially when I’m on my bike, riding our beautiful mountains. Riding is fun, but when you race and push yourself to finish what you went out to accomplish, this is a whole other feeling!

Not only do I have a deep passion for the outdoors, I am also actively involved in animal activism. One of my goals is to travel the world, exploring different countries and volunteering at local animal shelters. I have previously travelled to Thailand, I volunteered at a non-profit dog and cat rescue organization.

Hey! My name is Nic and my passion is mountain biking. I’ve been biking for 4 years and I have never stopped loving it! I previously worked as a mountain bike coach before coming on board with Squamish Bike Camps and I love working with kids! I love seeing all their skills develop, and as a bonus, watch them grow to be excellent riders. A fun fact about me is that I was born in England.

Mountain Biking is my absolute favorite sport. Having being born in Squamish, and a mountain biker since 1988, it’s been amazing to watch the sport grow, and the trail network grow along with that, with a huge thanks to the amazing trail builders and SORCA.There is something extra special about being deep in our Temperate Rainforest, immersed in natures playground.I have thoroughly enjoyed introducing children to activities and sport over the years, and helping nurture that love.In my past I have taught gymnastics to children, along with downhill skiing with the Whistler Kids program, Mt. Seymour as well as in Japan. My mountain biking experience with youth has involved coaching both the Don Ross Mountain Bike Team, as well as the HSSS team from 2006-2010.

Hi everyone. I’m Jane and I am very excited to get out riding with the kids in Squamish Bike Camps! I am a long term Squamish resident and got into mountain biking in 2010 when on the spur of the moment, and very unprepared, I was persuaded by a friend to sign up to the Test of Metal Bike Race. Mountain biking has been a big part of my life since then whether it be social rides, fun races or instructing and supporting organised group rides. When I’m not out riding you can be sure I’m thinking and planning new adventures, wild or tame. I love music! Loud, live, danceable and can be found jamming on my guitar and singing along. Once in a while I even like to get out and perform.

I have been biking for approximately 20 years and love all types of cycling, but my true passion lies with mountain biking. I have mentored and coached through a variety of bike clubs since 2006. In 2013, I received formal training and gained my instructor certification upon joining the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance Instructor Team. It brings me great joy to share my love for the sport and see smiles when riders accomplish that personal challenge. I love traveling with my bike and exploring new parts of the world. I also have a pet box turtle named Zoe.
